16.01.2022 I had the pleasure of working with a super-dope social project last weekend. OK Motels seek out regional motels to host one night only gigs and invite a horde of music lovers to bus it to the venue and stay in local accomodation. Road trip + gig = rad trip! Sat 25th Aug played out with close to 400 punters converging on The Charlton Motel to take in a mighty line up including TFS Band (Tropical Fuck Storm), Cable Ties, Bitch Diesel, Affordable Repayments, Blake Scott of The ...Peep Tempel and DJ Hot Wheels. The country town of Charlton suffered devastating floods in 2016 with the Avoca River hitting 7.5m! Residents left the town in droves and like many regional areas the local businesses have taken a serious hit and are desperate for visitors. Projects like OK Motels breathe life into these rural communities. Follow them, support them and get on the next OK Motels event. See more
