24.01.2022 Mrs Walker (Acting Principal) is providing a update on the current COVID guidelines for schools. Further information is provided in comments.

22.01.2022 I hope everyone has had an enjoyable break from the hustle and bustle, however school resumes for all Year 1 to 6 students on Friday 29th January. The current COVID 19 guidelines state that parents and carers of Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students are allowed on school site to drop off and pick up their children for the first few days of school provided they follow physical distancing and hygiene measures. Staff and students are not required to wear masks, however are pe...rmitted to wear their own if they choose. Kindergarten students will start school on Monday 1st February at 9:30am and finish at 2:30pm. They will participate in a transition program for one week and then be placed into their Kindergarten class the following week. The uniform shop will be open on Wednesday 27th January and Thursday 28th January between 10:00am and 2:00pm for all requiring uniforms as parents are now able to enter the school to purchase or pick up from the uniform shop as per the latest guidelines. Year 1-6 student book packs can be paid for online through the Tuggerah Public School website under "Make a Payment tab. A note detailing the book pack cost and requirements can be accessed through the TPS website under 'Notes and Forms' tab. Kindergarten families will receive an email early next week regarding their book packs. We look forward to seeing our beautiful community of students and carers for the 2021 school year. Cheryl Walker Acting Principal

11.01.2022 (movie in comments) Class Platypus has been learning about underwater life for Science. Today they created a project based around their learnings. The students were introduced to StopMotion technology with Mrs Watt. They made clay characters and objects to set the scene, and learnt the 3 rules to StopMotion 1. Don't move the camera, 2. Move your characters a little bit at a time and 3. The more photos taken the more the storyline is created. Once they had taken their 100+ photos, they added titles, sound effects and overlays. So many skills learnt in such a fun project.
