06.01.2022 Soil was turned for Stage 1 late last week. Along with it, a number of concerned local residents, who were shocked to see some of the mature trees knocked down. Whilst we have tried to retain as many trees as possible, including the trees dotting the creekline, which isn't evident from Fingerboard Rd, some trees unfortunately weren't able to be retained. However, in consultation with landscape designers, Tullamore Rise will be revegetating the estate with over 10,000 mid st...ory and canopy trees. There will be over 20 different fast growing species that are not only compatible with the local ecosystem but capable of forming a dense canopy in a short space of time. Species ranging from Moreton Bay Fig's to Lemon Scented Myrtle's and Silky Oaks. Additionally there will be another 20,000+ ground cover plants installed to the development. The total number of trees and plants being installed will be over 40,000! Even better, we have been in touch with the local Mens Shed who will be recycling these trees for various furniture projects. We are excited about the prospect of new families joining the Dayboro community, who in turn will be supporting local business. A win for all!
