12.01.2022 Public announcement!! Tropical Vets Hinchinbrook has now diagnosed 5 cases of canine parvovirus in the last week. Other areas of North Queensland have been expe...riencing large outbreaks recently. Signs of parvo include lethargy, inappetance, vomiting and diarrhoea. Vaccination with a modified live vaccine is the recommended preventative. If you are unsure about your dog’s vaccination status, or if your dog in unvaccinated, please contact us and get your pet up to date. Prevention is better (and much less expensive) than attempting to cure.

People Ple...asures vs Pet Pleasures... although we like spending time with each other, our pets eat differently to us and can suffer greatly (and even die) if they eat some of our foods (check out www.tropicalvets.com.au for more details). Your pet's BEST food is their regular pet food... all the time... and, please ensure they have plenty of fresh water and cool / shady spots available during the heat of Summer. 3.
