The Cycle Tumbarumba Twilight Series is on again, starting Wednesday 18 November - 6:30pm Fun, Social and Inclusive is the emphasis of the seri...es with handicap starts designed to accommodate riders from 10-80yrs of any level. It's about getting out for a regular social occasion and improving your fitness. The Twilight Series, is a short sharp sprint, where you compete against yourself each week. Points are awarded for most improved. This is not a race, you are seeking personal improvement, just like a training ride. Where: The Town Common, middle gate off Alfred Street (dirt road) When: Rego closes 6:15pm Wednesdays A warm up 6 week series will run Wednesday 18 November 23 December (xmas BBQ round) with another series to start next year. Format: Arrive and sign Covid register 15mins before start time. Each rider will complete a lap of each course (2.1km and 3.1km courses) in groups of 4. Times will be recorded, with series points awarded within each group based on 4pts for fastest relative to their PB, down to 1pt. Event director’s call is final You will be provided with a number plate you must have on your bike every week. COVID Safety Plan: Do not come if you're feeling unwell or should be isolating Maintain 1.5m distancing Use the provided hand sanitiser Cost: $5 per rider for 6 weeks series You will also need to provide proof of a current MTBA/AusCycling membership Membership: AusCycling Lifestyle or Race Off-Road membership is required for insurance purposes. (Existing/current MTBA memberships are also fine). You will need to provide proof of your membership number at registration See: https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership for options. Note: School kids can use a valid $100 Active Kids Voucher to subsidise a race membership.
