24.01.2022 It was resolved at our Lions meeting yesterday to have a responsible and wise decision to cancel our Easter market for everyone's welfare and safety :( We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused to all of you especially our valued stallholders. It is very sad but we have to support and help each other in times like this. I have created a market chat group here for everyone so feel free to share any ideas or simply have a chat with other market stallholders and ...supporters. Keep our community interaction alive even just a "facebook" away. Our Easter raffle will still go ahead and will be drawn on the Sunday, 5th April, 2020 at our local radio station, The Sounds of the Mountain. One lucky winner will have the opportunity to win a basket of Easter eggs and a toy bunny with $100 cash. Tickets are being sold at Tumut PRD, Woolies and Coles on Thursday the 19th March, Woolies on Friday the 20th March and at Coles on Saturday, 21st March from 9:30am till 12:30pm. On behalf of the Tumut Lions Club, we wish each and everyone more wonderful and healthy days ahead and hopefully that the corona virus disappears. Please take care and see you all at the Railway one day. Cheers Gilda x

23.01.2022 Dear valued stallholders and Tumut Lions Market supporters - In the context of the corona virus, the Tumut Lions Club is holding a meeting tomorrow afternoon to discuss whether it is safe for everyone to go ahead with the Lions Easter market or to cancel the event. I'll keep you all updated. Thanks for all your support. Hoping for the best and keep safe please.

19.01.2022 On times like what we're having at the moment, it is pretty hard for the families to get together but the love for our dear mothers will keep us all stronger and united. Happy Mother's Day to all wonderful Mums. Stay safe everyone <3

19.01.2022 Not market related but so pretty excited to post it here. A Tumut Lions project that started today. Can't wait to see the end result. Come to the Race Course and see how a stump transformed into a horse's head. Pretty exciting :)

16.01.2022 Dear valued stallholders and market supporters. We'll be missing you all this month at the Tumut Railway. Sad to say but we are not holding our February market due to the recent bushfires we had and the devastating sadness it brought to us all. Most of us and our stallholders have been affected by the fire and have lost part of their living. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families that have lost their homes/properties during the bushfires around Tumut's neighbouri...ng towns and mainly Australia. Thank you to the firefighters and all the volunteers for keeping us safe. Our next market will be a week before Easter which will be on the 4th April, 2020 to be held at the Tumut Railway Precinct commencing 9am till 2pm. Hoping to see you all there and let's support each other. For bookings and enquiries, please leave a message here or ring Gilda on 0418 434 419 and/or Sue on 0456 718 452. Keep safe everyone x

15.01.2022 It was indeed a very horrifying, exhausting and stressful week for our beautiful communities and a long battle with the fires still threatening our region. Thank you so much to our emergency services, firefighters, volunteers, friends and the whole community united helping each other in times of crisis. No words could express how wonderful you all are. Proud of you. Our hearts are broken for the pain and losses experienced by our wider community. Our thoughts and prayers ...are with you all. Take care everyone. Please stay safe. With much love from the Tumut Lions Club x

13.01.2022 Hello there :) Hope that everyone is fine and coping well at this covid19 pandemic. It was so amazing that the community had been so resilient in this difficult time. We will get through this all safely together. It had been a while since we haven't had a local market at the Tumut Railway and I believe that you are all anxious to know whether we could hold a market for Christmas or not with or without Santa under covid19 restrictions. But who wants Christmas without Santa?... We are drawing a plan for the market to be submitted to the Council for approval. If approved, the Christmas market will be held on the Saturday, 12th December, 2020 from 8am to 1pm at the Tumut Railway Precinct. I'll keep you all updated. We appreciate all your patience during these extraordinary times. For the meantime, please stay safe, take care, have fun (the days are getting warmer now) and feel the (socially-distant) love of our amazing community. On behalf of the Tumut Lions Club, we thank you for your continuous support and look forward to seeing you at the Railway one day soon. For further enquiries and or suggestions for the upcoming market, you're all welcome to drop me a message. Cheers Gilda

04.01.2022 Hello there lovely people and dedicated stallholders. Hope you're all fine and coping with the heat at the moment. Make sure you all have your water intake and keep cool as much as possible. It is hard to deliver the not so good news and quite heartbreaking to be honest NOT to be able to hold the Tumut Lions Market especially this Christmas season. There will be NO MARKET on the 12th December, 2020 :( We have made several submissions to hold the market at the Railway on... the 12th December, 2020. The last email we sent had a good result. The Council suggested that it is OK for the Lions to make bookings for the market in December provided that we are covid safe and comply with the covid restrictions current at the time of the market. That of course includes proper signages re social distancing, sanitising stations and registers for people attending the market along with the appropriate insurances as a start. We cannot hold the December 2020 market due to time constraints and the necessity to conform to covid19 requirements. However we are planning to hold markets in 2021. Hoping to see you all next year. Take care everyone and thanks for all your support.

04.01.2022 The Lions Club of Tumut wishes you all a very HAPPY EASTER. Have a very lovely day.The Lions Club of Tumut wishes you all a very HAPPY EASTER. Have a very lovely day.

03.01.2022 Hello there lovely people and dedicated stallholders. An email had been sent to the Council. Please bear with us for a few days until we receive a final response from the Council as to why we can not hold a market at the Railway on the 12th December, 2020. I will keep you all updated here. For the meantime, take care and stay safe. Thanks for all your support. We're missing the markets too :( For further enquiries, feel free to ring or message me. It's a pleasure to help :) Gilda 0418 434 419
