25.01.2022 Thank you Fremantle Press! I loved attending the festival, and the panelists inspired me greatly!

22.01.2022 I’m excited to announce that the deadline for Mandurian Stories has been extended until September 30th, so if you want to get involved, now is your chance! For the first time, prizes will be awarded to the most outstanding contributions of Mandurian Stories. I will be announcing Mandurian Stories’ brand new award categories at Shape Mandurah’s Community Soup event, which will be held on Thursday, August 27th, at Make Place, Mandurah. If you want to know more about Mandurian ...Stories, head down to Make Place, and have a chat with me over a bowl of delicious soup! Shape Mandurah has supported Mandurian Stories since the very beginning, when I pitched my idea at a Community Soup event two years ago. I am very grateful for their amazing support and encouragement, and I’m excited to find out which projects they will be supporting next. Come along and support creative Mandurians in making our community an even better place, by voting for who gets to take home $2000 to achieve their goal! Community Soup is such a fun event, even if you don’t like soup, so I hope to see a few of you there. https://facebook.com/events/s/community-soup-2020-round-one/338392703988450/?ti=icl

21.01.2022 Hey everyone! I know it’s an awkward time for shopping, but I wanted to share what Mandurah Forum put up for International Woman’s Day a few weeks ago! I love Veronika Sajova’s photo of me at Peel Zoo, and the stories of all the amazing women included the display. Thanks, Mandurah Forum! #EACHFOREQUAL

20.01.2022 Hello everyone, I wanted to let you all know that Peel Zoo has opened a Redbubble store! They are selling all sorts of merchandise with artworks by myself and fellow volunteer named Kassie-Fay. Currently there are three artworks available for purchase on merchandise such as water bottles, shirts, stickers, phone cases, and more, with new artworks already on the way!... Links to the Peel Zoo Redbubble can be found on their post shared below, and I highly recommend watching Danica’s video. Stay safe everyone!

19.01.2022 Timely words of unschooling wisdom from author/activist, Dayna Martin.

15.01.2022 Huge thanks to Peel Zoo for giving me the opportunity to create portraits of their wonderful animals! In the midst of COVID-19, Peel Zoo is unable to accept visitors, resulting in a drop in available funds for the animals. Please support Peel Zoo by checking out their Redbubble page. There is a wide variety of merchandise available, with more animal artworks on the way! https://www.redbubble.com/people/PeelZoo/explore

10.01.2022 Thank you Mandurah Mail for a fun interview! I wish Jessica and Jamie-Anne the best of luck, for both the award, and all the wonderful things they are doing. What an inspirational day!

04.01.2022 I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Kaylee Meerton from Mandurah Mail for writing such a lovely article! The interview was very enjoyable to be a part of, and felt like a comfortable conversation between friends. Kaylee, I love your Millenial on a Mission series, and I can’t wait to read the next one!

03.01.2022 In light of the recent events with coronavirus, I have decided to extend the deadline for Mandurian Stories all the way to September! That’s an extra five months for you to work on an artwork, story, poem, photograph, or anything else you can think of, to enter into the book! I would love to encourage any families to use this as an opportunity to explore creative writing and art. You can even set a fun challenge for yourself and your children by creating a non-fiction work, t...eaching them how to research and fact check their sources. Not kids? No problem! You can still enter! This opportunity is open to all ages and backgrounds! The only major conditions that apply to Mandurian Stories submissions is that your work is suitable for an audience of all ages, and that if your entries include real people, you must have their permission. Your works can be any word count, non-fiction or fiction, and from any genre. If you want to create an art work, you can enter anything that can be scanned or photographed. On the topic of photos, those can be submitted, too! Just make sure that if there are any people in your photos, you have their permission to enter it. Do you have any questions, or a work you would like to submit? Send an email to [email protected] Don’t know what Mandurian stories is? Follow this link to watch a video of last year’s launch! https://vimeo.com/367781471

03.01.2022 Are you interested in becoming a youth connector, and are between 16-25 years old? Have a look into tomorrow’s workshop at the Billy Dower Youth Center! You’ll receive a certificate for completing the workshop, and some snacks will be available. Spaces are limited, so be sure to get in contact soon!

01.01.2022 Hello everyone! I wanted to take part in this weeks #ISOinspo challenge, run by headspace Mandurah and Mandurah Youth. The theme for this week was Film and TV. As I’m sure you all know, I absolutely love the Transformers franchise, so I thought I could use this as an opportunity to show off part of my collection and my favourite cosplay!... Do any of you have a favourite transformer, or a favourite scene from any of the comics, shows, or movies? Let me know in the comments!
