22.01.2022 A touch of the Bauhaus comes to Sherwood. A pair of late 1960's Model B3, "Wassily Chairs" originally designed in 1925 by Marcel Breuer when he was Head of the cabinet making workshop at the celebrated Bauhaus in Dessau, Germany. These design classics reproduced by Knoll, date from the late 1960's when the original owner purchased them, are very simply constructed of chromed tubular steel and black leather. ... These are the real deal. Circa 1968 $1100 each or $2000 for the pair. 11.01.2022 Fabulous new finds at Turn O'the Century Antiques. We are very excited to announce that in the past couple of weeks we have been fortunate enough to acquire some very special items from two prominent Queensland estates. Items too numerous to mention, but suffice to say there are some exceptional North East Asian antiques and some rather wonderful European pieces as well. Watch this space.

06.01.2022 A superb Art Deco desk constructed of Silky Oak with Hoop pine secondaries. Built in bookshelf to back. Original Patina, plate glass top included. Came from an old Brisbane firm. 1200mm wide x 720 mm deep. Circa 1930. Price $1750. The typewriter on top of the desk is of a similar vintage, by notable German maker Triumph Adler, this Norm 6 portable typewriter, still bares the logo of the Austrian Pharmacy who were the original owners of this example. German keyboard, great for typewriter collectors or if you are into your Umlauts. Good condition, Circa 1935. $150.
