25.01.2022 Music education is an important part of Children’s development. Recent banning of choirs and wind ensembles in schools ignores scientific research by UK and US scientists which demonstrated these activities posed no heightened risk of transmitting Covid. Please sign this petition to challenge this ruling. https://www.change.org/p/gladys-berejiklian-kids-need-music

13.01.2022 We are incredibly disappointed by recent posts by NSW health suggesting that playing a wind instrument is spreading Covid-19. These statements are contrary to research done in the US and UK stating that playing a wind instrument is no more dangerous that natural speech and demonstrate a lack of understanding of how woodwind instruments function. We take very seriously the current situation that the world is facing with the spread of Covid-19 and take every precaution to prevent the spread but wish to encourage our woodwind students to keep playing and learning! You are developing a valuable skills and your life will be enriched by your music making!

02.01.2022 Meet Josephine our wonderful Flute and Voice teacher. Josephine was fortunate enough to begin her formal music education in her early childhood with piano lessons at the age of 4. These lessons provided the foundation for all her musical knowledge as she developed a love for classical music. She began flute lessons in 2009 and fell in love with not only the instrument, but its expansive repertoire. This love for music was only intensified when she joined the school choir and... began to build the foundation of her vocal technique, and fostered her love of Choral music. In 2018 she completed her HSC, achieving Band 6 in Music 2 and an E4 in extension music. She is currently studying voice and music education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and performs regularly with a variety of Choirs.
