25.01.2022 Preparations for season 2021 are well underway. Our first few training sessions have had excellent attendances with 70 - 80 players across our men’s, women’s and junior programs. Pre-Christmas training will continue at Isabella Plains Oval (Cromwell Cct) on Tuesday’s (for players turning 14 in 2021 to Seniors male and female) and Kambah (Chirnside Cct) on Thursday’s (senior players male and female) between 6 and 7:15pm.

23.01.2022 The Tuggeranong Valley Australian Football Club (TVAFC) was formed in March 2020 after the amalgamation of four Australian Football Clubs - Tuggeranong Hawks, Tuggeranong Lions, Tuggeranong Bulldogs and Calwell Swans. As a large community based club, TVAFC is solely reliant on the hard work of volunteers and the generous support of sponsors to provide access to the great game of Australian Football for the boys and girls and men and women of Tuggeranong. Access to suitable... facilities for our growing playing base, particularly our female football program, is a priority for TVAFC and we welcome the Canberra Liberals election 2020 announcements regarding an AFL Hub in Kambah and upgrades to Greenway Oval. 21.01.2022 ***BREAKING NEWS*** The TVAFC are excited to introduce your First Grade Senior Womens Coaching group for the 2021 season. 2021 will see Club President Leo Lahey take on the Head Coach role after 2018/19 Head Coach Peter Wren stepped aside to take a very well earned break. The Prez will be joined by Steve Donlan who returns as Senior Assistant Coach for the first grade. In a compelling development the group will also boast AFL Sydney legend Damien Bowles who brings a wealth... of football knowledge and experience, Strength and Conditioning Guru Mark ‘Raz’ Rasmussen steps into the coaching realm bringing together his technical expertise and athlete development skills and finally we are very excited to welcome Heather Flannery to the TVAFC family. Heather, a member of the Australian Navy All Star AFLW Team (2004-2016), as well as former Manunda Hawks player and coach, Berwick Hawks player and coach, Navy Assistant and Head Coach and ADF Assistant Coach brings extensive experience and enthusiasm to a very strong group!! 2021 is looking very inspired already!!! Welcome to the family H!!!

18.01.2022 Huge congratulations to former Tuggeranong Valley and Marist College junior Tom Highmore on his selection at pick 45 in the AFL draft tonight. The key defender has been rewarded for his extraordinary commitment and is headed to St Kilda to continue his dream. Such great news on draft night for Tom and his family, including TVAFC Mens Senior Assistant Coach and Tom’s Dad, Paul. Well done Tom!!!

17.01.2022 The TVAFC would like to congratulate Nathan and Tamara Smith on the birth of their beautiful baby girl Emilia last week. All reports are that all are well and now comfortably back at home. There is a rumour Nathan will try and use this to skip a couple of pre-season sessions but we know that the Club 150-game champion never misses a session . Congratulations Nathan and Tamara!!!

17.01.2022 In our first year as an amalgamated club, the Tuggeranong Valley Australian Football Club (TVAFC) fielded 26 junior teams and 6 senior teams in the 2020 season and we expect this will grow in 2021. Access to suitable facilities for our Australian Football community, and upgrades to facilities for our growing contingent of female footballers, remains a priority for TVAFC and we welcome the ACT Labor 2020 election announcements regarding upgrades to sporting facilities in Tuggeranong, including at Kambah District Playing Fields and Greenway Oval. Both Will Tin Man Prowse and brother Charles Chuck Prowse return as Head Coaches for the 2021 season with the Club pursuing further consistency in the Senior Mens program as we continue our improvement. The much loved brothers are joined by Greg Wakka Walker who will also continue in his role as Senior Assistant across the full Senior Mens program f...ocusing on developing and transitioning our youth into Senior football. It’s as good a coaching group getting around as 2021 continues to look stronger and stronger for the Valley. The coaches are super pumped for pre-season and looking to build on a strong first year. Welcome back gentlemen!!!

It was great to see so many players and families braving the terrible weather conditions to attend the Junior Presentation.... Thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen, without you the day would not have been such a success! A special thank you to the Senior Players that attended and presented awards or helped out on the day and to Murray Chynoweth for taking these photos to share with our community.

07.01.2022 On the last day of junior football for the Canberra AFL 2020 season we were privileged to see two TVAFC teams play off for the premiership with our two Under 12 girls teams fittingly playing in the Grand Final against each other. Whilst only one team could win it was a magnificent game for all four quarters with every single Tuggeranong player playing their heart out!! Watching both teams singing the Club song at the end of the game was what we are all about!! #oneclub #onefamily #thefutureisbright #WeAreTheValley #wearetuggeranong
