Another 16 cubic metres of greens going off to be reborn as mulch and potting mix.. 14.01.2022 Happy recycling week every one..!! Two Bays Bin Hire are so proud to be able to say that we recycle more than 80% of the waste we collect. Our sorting yard breaks down greens, timber, steel, ewaste, cardboard and paper, dirt bricks and concrete. Heres a little history about the recycling symbol: ... The three arrows represent reducing, reusing, and recycling. The inside negative space of the symbol resembles a pine tree. The recycling symbol is a variant of the Mbius loop to symbolise continuity with a finite entity. The original idea for the symbol was to create a symbol for recycled paper. The folded chasing arrows resembles folded newspapers. The original recycling symbol was designed by Gary Anderson in a logo design contest held by Bill Loyd, the graphic designer at Container Corporation of America in 1970. See more

06.01.2022 Welcome to Spring..!! (Finally) To celebrate, we are running a 6m Spring Bin special $20 off all 6 metre bins.... $30 off 6 metre bins with greens only. No mixed waste allowed. All day everyday throughout the months of September, October and November. We take our timber and greens recycling very seriously. We take our timber and greens to a fantastic company called Bio Gro. In Australia, 13 million tonnes of organic material are disposed to landfill each year. When disposed to landfill, organic material decomposes and generates methane, a gas that is at least 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide in our atmosphere, trapping heat and contributing to climate change. Bio Gro break down the greens and timber. They process the materials into high quality products for a wide range of horticultural and agricultural applications. We are proud to have diverted 48 cubic meters of timber and 24 cubic meters of greens from landfill in the last few days. The remaining products like plastic, Gyprock and polystyrene foam still end up in landfill. The entire planet struggles with these products. We still have such a long way to go when it comes to breaking down, reusing and recycling these products. It excites us to see what the future holds and we look forward to embracing new innovations and ways to reduce landfill. Happy gardening

01.01.2022 Did you know that Two Bays Bin Hire run our own waste recycling transfer station? We work hard to break down and separate the waste from every single bin we collect. Our cardboard, timber and greens are separated to live another day. We are fortunate to have Cleanaway as our next-door neighbors, literally! Once weve separated the cardboard from our loads, we can simply deliver it next door. ... Our relationship with Cleanaway substantially reduces our carbon footprint. Less travel on our roads = less carbon emissions. In the last few days weve recycled 13.5 cubic meters of cardboard. Stay tuned for further updates on our own personal war on waste..!!
