21.01.2022 Hazard Reduction Burn Notice: A Hazard Reduction Burn is planned for tomorrow (Sunday 15th November 2020) at a property in Breakwater Estate. Two Rocks will be assisted by both Wanneroo Central Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade and Quinns Rocks Bush Fire Brigade with a planned ignition at approximately 10:00am. Smoke may be visible and could reduce visibility on the roads. Motorists are advised to use caution if traveling through areas of low visibility and drive at safe speeds, ... ensuring you are following directions given by fire crews onsite. 08.01.2022 Two Rocks Bush Fire Brigade was pleased to be part of this cultural event, along with Quinns Rocks Bush Fire Brigade, Wanneroo Central Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade and Wanneroo Fire Support Brigade as well as Yanchep Volunteer Fire and Rescue, DFES, WAPOL and Yanchep Secondary College. Local Noongar man, Derek Nannup went through the acknowledgement of country and we partook in a smoking ceremony, which was followed by 4 traditional dances by a group of local kids - Spirit d...ance - Wirrin nybi Emu - Wetj Kangaroo - Yonga Honey bee - (first encounter with foreign honey bees ) A small area of grass trees was then lit up, under the watchful eyes of all the brigade members present. This was the first event of its kind in the area and we hope to make it an annual tradition. See more

In our North, the Yawuru calendar has entered Laja (hot season). Bringing very warm days with high humidity, flowers are abundant and turtles will start to lay their eggs on the beaches ...
