20.01.2022 We would like to share with you that Tyndale Strathalbyn has been successful in receiving a $2000 grant from FLINDERS UNIVERSITY RURAL HEALTH SOUTH AUSTRALIA COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP. This grant will enable us to provide a well being package for our 58 bedded Strathalbyn and District Aged Care Room residents. This package will entail our staff working with some of our students to prepare a video to present to them, a wellbeing message, fidget mats, potpourri bags and cards being prepared for a craft. A food hamper from a local business will also accompany this. Our aim is to improve the wellbeing of our local nursing home residents and develop understanding and compassion within our students for our older generations.

17.01.2022 We would like to update you on our progress with winning the community grant from Flinders University, rural health South Australia. This grant was awarded because we as a school could connect with our local nursing home and provide a wellbeing package for Christmas, with a plan for next year to create a pen pal system between them and our youth (with relevant safety practices in place). On Wednesday 9 December 2020, we presented our package to the Wellbeing Leader at the N...ursing home. Our package included pot pourri bags made by our Year 8 students, card crafts, a wellbeing/Christmas message to be hung in the residents rooms, and a beautiful food package put together by The Old Market Shed in Strathalbyn. A big thank you to the staff, especially Narelle (Wellbeing) and Kiowa (Nurse), and the Year 8 students for their hard work in putting this together! #proudtyndalian #intentionallychristian #intentionallyexcellent #IntentionallyInclusive
