Here’s how I guide my clients through the process: Stage 1 - After Action Review of 2020. ... Develop a timeline of what happened month by month in 2020. Audit 2020 goals/ objectives. Brainstorm what worked, what didn’t work and what needs to change. Stage 2 - Develop MISSIONS and PLANS. Dont develop goals! SMART goals don’t work (heresy I hear you say!) because they lack the two most vital pieces of the puzzle (the WHY and the HOW). Your missions should succinctly spell out the Who, What, When, Where and Why. Develop the plan for each Mission by identifying each step, allocating a due date and identifying the resources required. 02.01.2022 Organisations can be a little like muddy boots. Once they are muddy more mud sticks until they weigh you down and have no grip... the boots have gradually lost their function and you’ve lost your speed and agility. In our organisations we slowly and unwittingly build up inefficiencies in our processes and procedures. We lose our agility in the quagmire of bureaucracy. We need to regularly undertake what I call critical elimination. Critically assess every process, eliminate... steps where you can and streamline where you can.
