07.01.2022 Following more than 400 community suggestions, we've shortlisted five names for the new Aquatic Centre in Rosebud and now its your turn to help us decide! ...Let us know what means the most to you - Barbawar, Gunawarra, Rosebud, Tides or Yawa! We've worked with Bunurong/Boon Wurrung Traditional Owners and they have endorsed all three Aboriginal names. The name with the majority of votes will be presented as the preferred name of the Aquatic Centre, for consideration and final endorsement by the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council. Read the meanings behind each name and cast your vote: mornpen.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay by Thursday 9 July 2020. All votes cast will go into the draw to win a 10 x family swim pass!
