21.01.2022 This lady right here WOW! Talk about having a will to live! Geneva Wood is a 90-year-old great-great-grandmother from Washington. She had a stroke in December, and ended up in a nursing rehab for recovery and she was doing great! But then she fell and suffered a broken hip and then ended up getting the coronavirus. The doctors didn’t give her much hope of survival.... In fact, the doctors had her family members all put on protective gear and visit her, one-by-day, to say their goodbyes. Well, the Coronavirus couldn’t hold her down. She surprised everyone by healing her body and coming back home! She said she did it by focusing on what mattered most to her: her 4 kids, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Incredible, right? I love it when celebs use their platform to spread positivity ... and that’s exactly what actor John Krasinski is doing! He started the show at the end of March to share good news in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. (If you don’t know who Krasinski is, you may recognize him from The Office or the Jack Ryan series.)... 10.01.2022 One of the things we’ve definitely learned during the past couple of months is the importance of having some extra food staples in our pantries just in case! That can be a real struggle if you have a small kitchen or not much storage. Keeping a supply of canned beans, lentils, quinoa, rice, gluten-free pasta, sauces, protein powder, nut butters, tuna, canned tomatoes, low-sodium soups, and other healthy pantry must-haves can take up a surprising amount of space.... Plus, when your pantry is disorganized, it’s super easy to forget exactly what you have on-hand, which can cause waste and/or extra trips to the grocery store. Here are some tips to make the most of what you have and stay organized in the process! Add wire baskets that hook underneath your cabinet shelving. Under shelf baskets are inexpensive and can almost double the amount of cabinet storage space. Pick up a wire rack with hooks at the top to go over doors. These come in different sizes and can store spices, cleaning items, etc. Add bars at the rear of your cabinets, and use S hooks to hang up your coffee cups, clearing out needed space. Or hang S hooks on your backsplash to store kitchen utensils, freeing up drawer space. Use a plate rack to organize the covers for all your plastic reusable containers. In really tight areas, turn a clear over the door shoe organizer into a holder for snacks or cooking utensils. (This is also great for bathroom storage) These are just a few ideas to get you started!
