22.01.2022 Hi UDO Australia family ! As per all our other shows and events that we have had to cancel or reschedule due to the corona virus and the policies being enforced by the Federal Government, this years competition of the UDO Australia National Street Dance Championships has been postponed and rescheduled to Sunday 12 July 2020. Our paramount concern is for the health and safety of every participant, attending ticket holders and our staff. We will not compromise on this and will... only host this years competition when we are advised that we are all safe by the State and Federal Government as well as all Health Authorities. We will continue to monitor the developments associated to this decision and should the need arise, we will reschedule again if needed. Once we do, you will be able to see all the details for this years competition and be able to download your registration forms as well. After the awesome response last year with the change of venue, we are delighted to be able to host this years competition on the theatre stage of the Clocktower Centre. 13.01.2022 ENOUGH IS ENOUGH Hello all, Firstly, I hope you're all well and keeping safe with your loved one's, especially during the troubling times we are all facing ...as a result of this Pandemic. I'm sure you are all aware, or have seen the video of the horrific murder of George Floyd, at the hands of police officers, which has sparked international outrage. As a result, this has forced us all to really say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" and address issues of racism, social injustice and inequality that we still face in society today. Black people and ethnic minority groups have been suffering unjustly due to systemic oppression and racial bias, something we all may not necessarily see, understand or have personally experienced. We, as an organisation and fellow human beings, stand with them in this uphill battle to stamp out racism and social injustice, with the goal of gaining universal equality. It is so important to involve yourself anyway you can; research, donate and speak up. Ignoring the problem will not make it go away. Order books, sign petitions and talk to your friends and family about the importance of anti-racism, follow the news, make a difference. 07.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT UPDATE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS...ONLINE We have spoken with Judges and international partners, to enable as many dancers dealing with... different timezones and lockdown conditions we are now going to use video entries as well as live options for the finals. VIDEO ENTRY: once you have registered you will be sent an email with a link to upload your video, these will sent out in the next 2 days. Video entries must be submitted and will be taken and semi and finals will be streamed live on facebook, if you are unable to make the live finals we will ask for another video from you to stream on live. Deadline for submission will be midnight Wednesday 19th August! TEAMS: You will have 2 options, live or video with all team together. This can be sent as a recorded version to us if you are unable to make the live times, we will play the recorded team in your slot. If you are unable to record a new team performance then we will accept a previous competition video entry as a last resort (formations points will be evaluated and adapted due to social distancing measures) Or a zoomlife team, where there will be no formations and 1 team member will be in each screen, then teachers will record this session upload that entry for us to stream live. Videos are only required for Teams if you will not be attending the live. Deadline for these will be Wednesday 26th August!
