23.01.2022 Top 6 Mindfulness techniques to help reduce stress and increase productivity By UExL Academy 1) Taking a break in between whatever you are doing, for a moment. Then, inhale 1-2 deep breaths to help keep you focused, on task and bring you back to the present moment. This helps eliminate distractions from your surroundings and increases productivity.... 2) Look around you and silently name three things you can see around your study room or area. 3) Now open your ears to the sounds around you, silently note the three sounds you hear. 4) Your attention to your body silently names three sensations that you can feel in this moment. (Maybe warmth, tingling, contraction or coolness) 5) Bring your attention to smell, what do you notice in your immediate awareness when you bring your attention to these senses? Silently recall what you experience. 6) Take 1-2 deep breaths to finish this calming mindfulness exercise. Repeat this exercise to now and then and repeatedly bring back your awareness. This will help you to perceive the present moment and build your resilience skills. Aiding your mind to deal with exam anxiety and the general pressure of the academic year.
