24.01.2022 Tonight, our School Council celebrated what has been a challenging year, with a casual dinner at Montania Cafe Bar Restaurant. School Council is an integral part of how a school functions, and our meetings continued throughout the year online. I think we can all agree that face to face meetings beats Webex online meetings hands down. School Council wishes to take this opportunity to Thank Mrs O’Brien and all of our incredible teachers and a staff for being amazing this year! Cheers to a brighter 2021!

21.01.2022 Today we had our first Prep transition for our 2021 preps. It was such a joy to welcome our 19 prep students to our school! Things are different but schools are just as joyful as ever and we love having kids at our schools!

16.01.2022 Big Day Out for our graduating 6s. They are a small bunch who have had a tough year but are closer than ever!

16.01.2022 So excited by today’s announcement! We can’t wait to see EVERYBODY back at school on October 12!

15.01.2022 In true 2020 style, we saw out the year a little differently this year - with elbow bumps instead of handshakes, and the traditional Avenue of honor outside instead of the school corridor! Our backdrop provided a perfect setting for final speeches, presentations of awards, and our 2021 school captains. We wish you a Merry Christmas and happy and safe holiday period to all of our UFTG PS community. We looking forward to seeing you all 2021.

15.01.2022 Not long now until we return to school. We are so excited to know that our students are going to be back. Just a reminder that it will be SunSmart season. We are all loving the sunshine!

15.01.2022 Our Environment Club has been working hard collecting items for our local birds. They have made these lovely nesting holders for birds to collect materials from to make their nests along with some cute little teapots for birds to build their nests in. They look lovely and we can’t wait to see who makes my their home in them.

14.01.2022 What a great day we had today for Footy Day! It was fantastic to see everyone having such fun, we had lots of football activities including kicking and handball stations along with football themed colouring and quizzes and of course, a football match. Have a great weekend everyone- may your team win!

12.01.2022 Our Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students have been loving inquiry this term. Students have been working in teams to create specific items such as, something that floats, a fairy garden that won’t get wet, a marble run and lots more!

08.01.2022 Year 1-6 students return to school on Thursday 28th January. Prep students being Friday 29th January. We are looking forward to a fabulous year in 2021!

08.01.2022 WELCOME BACK! It is wonderful to have all our students back at school, we have missed you all so much. It was lovely to see how excited everyone was to be back at school with their friends. Surprises awaited in the classroom too with a balloon, certificate and an Upper Ferntree Gully Primary school face mask. Have a wonderful day everyone.

04.01.2022 Wow what a busy day we had today! Firstly a huge thank you to our teachers on Teacher’s Day - thank you - for everything you do for your students. As a special way of saying thank you, all staff were presented with a spoon decorated by students to add to our ever growing Spoonville. We also had a Halloween theme today with activities, games and trick or treat. It was wonderful to share this with our students as we have missed out on so many special events this year.

03.01.2022 Well we have reached the end of term 3! What a journey it has been. A huge thank you to our entire school community for being so amazing in these trying times. We can’t wait to see you all in Term 4 - enjoy some time away from technology. 01.01.2022 Friday was house sports day and what a great day it was. We were fortunate to have beautiful sunshine on the day and our students enjoyed participating in each event. It was lovely to see how encouraging and supportive everyone was of each other. A huge thank you to Mr A for organising and running the day!
