25.01.2022 Hello Darwin Ultimate Community! It has been a bit quiet on here lately, but we're here to say that we are back on! Social frisbee is on every Tuesday and Thursday, rain or shine, from 5:30pm at the Alawa Hall ovals (google map directions to Alawa Hall). We've had a drop in numbers due to COVID so we're looking to build them back up again, so we need your help in inviting friends and family along! All skill levels are welcome and it's a great way to get some exercise and be ...social at the same time. Frisbees, first aid kit and hand sanitiser is provided. Just need to bring yourself, shoes to run in, and a water bottle. We do ask that you stay at home if you feel unwell. We'll be here when you feel better, as long as we don't get shut down due to COVID again... Last but not least, Lakeside Drive has been closed to all public traffic, so currently the best place to park is at the cricket nets carpark accessed via the Ellengowan Drive and Dripstone Rd roundabout (see image). Spread the word and hopefully we'll meet you on the field! Cheers!

24.01.2022 Great turnout on Tuesday with over 30 players! Lots of old and new faces and a great time of socialising while getting some much needed post-shutdown exercise! Come join us today from 5:30 at the Alawa Ovals off Lakeside Drive. Always welcome to new players! All you need is some shoes to play in and a waterbottle... See you on the field!

24.01.2022 Tomorrow is the day we start up again! From 5:30pm til sun down, come join us on the Alawa Ovals off Lakeside Drive for a bit of Ultimate Frisbee training. There won't be a normal game, but there'll be plenty of chances to test out your throws, learn some new skills and meet other ultimate players from around Darwin. Come along and join in with us! There will be hand sanitiser provided on the venue for use, as well as sanitising wipes to clean the frisbees before, during and after training as needed. However, only come if you are feeling well! If so we'd love to have you join us!

21.01.2022 Hi Darwin Ultimate Community, Lately we haven't been getting enough players for a game on Thursdays. So this week we sent out a request for players to confirm if they'll play. Sadly there were not enough confirmations for a game to go ahead. There will be no pick up session today. See you on the field on Tuesday and we'll try again next week!

16.01.2022 Morning Darwin Ultimate Community! We're going to try and make numbers for a session this afternoon. We'll need a minimum of 8 players to go ahead. We'd meet on the Alawa Ovals on Lakeside Drive around 5:30 and starting a game around 6. Comment below if you'd be keen to come play!

14.01.2022 Come on down to Alawa Oval (off Lakeside Drive) and join us for a social game of Ultimate Frisbee! A great way to socialise and to also get some exercise! Starting at 5:30, bring a water bottle and shoes for running and be keen to get amongst a game of Ultimate Frisbee!

12.01.2022 We've had a great start to coming back together for training with 16 players on Tuesday and 15 on Thursday. Across the two days we also had 5 new players join us for the first time! We have had a lot of throwing practice (in pairs) and introduced a 3-man weave drill and a couple of games of Double Disc Court - some great activities that can keep to social distancing rules! We are on again this week, Tuesday and Thursday, from 5:30pm at the Alawa Ovals off Lakeside Drive. Be sure to drive in from the Dripstone Rd end as Lakeside Drive is closed at the Trower Rd end. Notice: Lakeside Drive is closed from the north, Dripstone Rd, so come up from Trower Rd or cut through the back streets of Alawa if you still want to come by Dripstone Rd. 09.01.2022 With the freeing up of restrictions in the NT, sport training is back on, which means we can start back up with training this Tuesday! If you're new to Darwin and would like to join us we meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30pm on the Alawa ovals on Lakeside Drive near the scout hall.
