To Sue and Ewan and Tony and Merril - congratulations to both couples on your 50 years marriage and to Jeremy and Maya - big congratulations on your engagement. Jeremy proposed at the summit of Mt. Strzelecki today. So romantic. Best wishes to you all.

17.01.2022 UNAVALE 2020 VINTAGE UPDATE In spite of the Australian and Tasmanian Governments confirming that wine grape harvest is an essential activity during this time of COVID-19, we have decided that due to the unique island situation, we will forfeit this year's harvest and not call for volunteer pickers. It has been a difficult time for the business with the closure of the cellar door in peak tourist season and we would especially like to thank the locals who have shopped local and bought our wines. It's meant everything to us.

15.01.2022 What does a chef do when she has a night off? Cooks for friends of course. We had fresh sardines in vine leaves with local abalone and salad fresh from the garden. We teamed it up with a Unavale Riesling and bingo....great night. Thanks Cate Hardman.

15.01.2022 We are about to release our 2019 Pinot Noir and we can guarantee that it pairs well with home grown turkey. For those who don't have their own special turkeys, you can drink it with other stuff too.

08.01.2022 Becoming available to rent in the near future....House and vineyard with winery. Looking for someone who has a passion for grape growing and wine making. We are stepping back from our wine production and would like to give someone a start in the industry. All we ask is $350 per week for the house and that the vines are maintained. The production of wine is all yours!!! All details of house, gardens and vineyard can be found in previous posts.
