24.01.2022 In 2015, VicHealth found 1 in 8 young people aged 16-25 felt a very high intensity of being alone. In 2018, the Australian Loneliness Report revealed 1 in 4 Australians reported feeling lonely every week. In 2020, Australians are social distancing and self isolating, increasing the likelihood of loneliness. ... How much do we understand loneliness in Australia? Do we know how to describe it, face it and tackle it when we need to? In Episode 2 of Under Cover, we look at people's experience of physical distancing in times of Coronavirus, and explore the importance of using the right words to describe our feeling of loneliness.
