First Home Loan Deposit Scheme has been extended to another 10,000 new homes which means that (in NSW) you can build a brand new home with only 5% deposit + approx. $2,000 legals (e.g. only $35,000 + $2,000 required for $700,000 home + you will still be eligible for $10,000 First Home Owner Grant and $25,000 HomeBuilder grant).... 2. It seems that the ones who historically have made the most successful investments are very active at the moment in either making a property play (purchase, develop, build) OR refinancing to save thousands on their existing debts.
