25.01.2022 ONE WEEK TILL CHRISTMAS You may have noticed the lack of decorations, trees and wreaths instore this year. It has been a different year with a lot of hard times for us and the whole community ... During this time it has really become apparent that the people we surround ourself with and thier health really is the most important thing of all. ... So leading into the festive season this year we decided that rather than deck the hall we would donate the money usually spent to a charity ..... We are donating this year to the McGrath Foundation, raising money for invaluable breast care nurses. With over 20,000 people being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020, these nurses and the extra knowledge has never been more important. Local fitness studio Pure P.T Fitness Studio is currently running a Raffle with heaps of local buisnesss involved. 22.01.2022 . JULY WOOO HOOO Today further restrictions have been lifted for the nsw hospitality industry. ... A few points below to keep you all in the know: - There is no longer a cap of 50 patrons per dining space, we now have to implement the 4*4 square m rule. (This doesn’t change a lot for Uneke). All our dining spaces have been measured correctly so we can accommodate for as many patrons as safety as we can. - We ask that everyone that comes to dine in at Uneke signs in at the door and WAITS TO BE SEATED - this is so we can keep a count of the above point. - There is no longer a cap on guests per booking. However our Personal max of people per booking is 20 - we do have private function options for groups of more than 20. Please also note large bookings may still be spread over 2 tables as we are still complying with 1.5m social distancing restrictions. - Social distancing & the 1.5m rule still applies in the industry and at Uneke, this means that when you are not ordering, browsing the retail or using our facilities please be seated at your table. - We are maintaining the highest level of hygiene throughout the premises with new hand washing stations installed, regular sanitizing accruing as well as professional cleaning. 19.01.2022 WOOO HOOO GOOD NEWS TODAY Under covid restrictions we can now take booking groups of up to 30 people max, however our previous restaurant rules not apply (as below) Uneke Booking Guildlines:... We have a max of 20 people per restaurant booking, this has been and is our in house policy - We have this limit as it is the most we feel our kitchen and floor staff can accommodate for whilst delivering high standard - if you have more than this please contact us and we can look at it and see if we can make it work for you. We can now have private functions of up to 30 max (outside of weddings, corporate or funerals) so if you have previously been in Contact with us in regards to this we can now look at booking your party for you: [email protected] Mingling is still a no no so we please ask that all guests in our restaurant stay seated when they are not ordering, using facilities or browsing retail. No intermingling between groups. Due to current high volumes of bookings we can only offer 1.45 hour booking slots and can only hold table for up to 15 minutes so please be on time. All functions (weddings, parties, corporate) are to also be seated and food will be served to tables. No canapé/standing style. The 4 square meter rule and 1.5m social distancing still applies so please don’t move our furniture at all and wait at the entrance point for one of our staff members to seat you. Our online booking system is available for your convenience on our website at www.unekelounge.com.au - please note we usually can’t take bookings on the day for the day, however we WELCOME all walkins and will try and accommodate for as many of you as possible! Rach - Off kicking goals in life - we miss her, but she regularly visits us at our coffee counter Megan - has just finished her 3 year stint as our functions coordinator, we appreciate everything she has done to grow Uneke warehouse and wish her every success. X Sam - has just returned to Uneke after having little huddy. We are so excited to have her back and help her with her life/work juggle. 02.01.2022 RESERVATIONS UPDATE: BOOKING INFORMATION Since covid retrictions we have been inundated with bookings everyday! ( we are not complaining, rather loving it)... It does mean we have to put a few guidelines in place for you all though: Booking are still 10 people max (covid 19 restrictions) WEEKENDS - No bookings on the day for the day ... We set and organize our bookings and the floor each morning for the day we do this so we can utilize our space and time and accommodate for as many of you as possible so putting a table aside in the middle of service is not always possible. WEEKDAYS - No booking will be taken during the sitting for the sitting. ( sittings are open - midday and midday - close ) TIME LIMITS - 1.5hr - we have now re introduced time limits for all bookings and tables. All tables can now only be occupied for 1 hour and 20 minutes max!! (With 10 minutes provided for staff to clean, sanitize and reset) we want to be able to accommodate for as many patrons, locals and regulars as possible. If you need a longer sitting for some reason please discuss with our staff. No intermingling between tables. We alway keep some tables spare for walk ins - so please come down as 90% of the time we will be able to find you a table. Please be on time for your booking, unfortunately we can only hold table for 15 minute max after the confirmed booking time. We try and accommodate for all seating and table requests, however unfortunately with the high volume of bookings we can’t always deliver. Please wait at the door to be greeted and seated, we need to keep a record of how many patrons are in ours restaurant at all times. Organizing large numbers of bookings daily, answering the phone and returning all messages has been some times challenging and is a little new to us all at Uneke ... so we thank you all for your understanding and ongoing support, and we so happy that so many of you want to come and dine with us.
