21.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT After careful consideration, and due to the rapidly changing situation of COVID-19 in Australia, the UNIHACK Organising Committee have decided to postpone this year's UNIHACK to Semester Two, 2020. This decision also affects all associated side events - such as Info Night and workshops.... The health, safety and well-being of everyone attending UNIHACK is our top priority. However, the nature of COVID-19 and recent events in the past two weeks have made this harder for us to achieve. Considering all possible scenarios, we believe that it is safer for us to postpone the event until at least Semester Two. Whilst we are very disappointed in not being able to see you at UNIHACK on March 28, rest assured that we are working our hardest to ensure UNIHACK happens this year and in future years. We apologise for the inconvenience this decision to postpone may cause, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility given the situation at hand. Have further questions? 14.01.2022 2019 / Winner / UNIHACKER STORY "Me and most of my team were participants in UNIHACK 2018 and made it to the final rounds of judging. Our initial experience was exhilarating and after coming so close to winning it, we decided to opt-in to UNIHACK 2019. The entire contest from start to finish was the most work I've ever done to date and the most fun I ever had. Looking back, building my own API to overcome library incompatibility at 3 am wasn't too bad after all. Our project w...as named the winner of UNIHACK 2019 and as returning finalists and hackathon veterans, we were more than pleased to take home our first win. Since then, thanks to the kickstart delivered to our project and team, we've spun ourselves into a space company building tech that's literally out of this world. Other than being a great way to test an MVP, get expert advice on our idea to help us build a long-running business, the entire hackathon experience has helped develop strong bonds between me and my co-founders and it's a time we quote often in the office. Overall, UNIHACK is a great way to not only gain experience, network with top tier employers and companies, but a great way to start something of your own as well. We are currently looking for volunteers to help out during the hack.
