09.01.2022 Hi everyone The next Girl to Woman discussion group is Wednesday June 20 at the Bentley Library for a 6:30pm start. Last month we had a group of 9 men and women gather with ages ranging from 9-72. As Naplan testing had been happening in schools the discussion began by talking about the pressures on young men and women in the school environment and then we explored this further as to the overall pressure men and women place on themselves in order to keep up with the so called... expectations they have of themselves and/or the expectations they feel they need to live up to because of society, family, friends etc. An interesting question posed to the group by an elder in the room was What do we love about being women? Come and join us to see what gets discussed next, its fluid, supportive, fun, informative and deeply intimate to gather as a group and talk about what is going on in raising teenagers today.
