23.01.2022 We hope everyone has a happy and safe Easter. Our practice will be closed from Friday 19th April to Tuesday 22nd April, 2019. In case of an emergency please call our practice on 6285 1899 as there will be emergency contact numbers on our answering machine.

During this period, we would like to assure our patients that we are closely keeping up to date with the current COVID-19 outbreak, and complying with the advice by the Australian Dental Association (ADA). For the health and safety of our patients, staff and dentists, we are operating and seeing patients for urgent and emergency care. If you have a check up booked in the next few days, we will be in c...ontact with you shortly to reschedule your appointment. Our clinic always follows strict infection control practices, however since the outbreak, we have implemented some extra measures which include; - Asking patients with appointments who are unwell, have a fever or respiratory infection, have travelled overseas in the last 14 days, have COVID-19 or been in contact with a person who fit these criteria to contact us to reschedule - Asking all patients to sanitise their hands with the alcohol gel provided when entering and leaving our practice - Regularly sanitising the reception area, waiting room, door handles, pens and HICAPS machines - Removing all toys, magazines and pillows from the waiting room - Implementing social distancing by spacing out waiting room chairs, restricting the waiting room to 2 people at a time, asking additional people who are not parents/guardians to wait outside the clinic, minimising amount of time waiting in the waiting room, and asking patients to wait in their cars until their appointment time if there are 2 people already in the waiting room Unique Dental Care is committed to providing exceptional dental care and we will remain open unless advised by the ADA and government boards. Dr Rebecca has joined us after graduating (with honours) from QLD last year, and enjoys treating all patients especially children. She has been working with us since April on Wednesday's, Friday's and is now available Monday evenings until 6pm and every second Saturday (by appointment only). 12.01.2022 We would like to welcome our new hygienist Ines Carnat to Unique Dental Care. Ines is a highly qualified Oral Health Therapist. She completed a double degree at Latrobe University in 2011. Since graduating Ines has worked full time and has continues to attend courses to further develop her skills and keep up with the ever changing technology within the dental industry. Ines’ knowledge and experience have been a huge benefit to many clients offer the years enabling her to ...educate and provide them with professional and high quality dental care. Ines appreciates dental treatment can cause high anxiety to some so makes it a high priority to ensure patient’s comfort is at the forefront. Ines has a bubbly and warm personality. This along with gentle nature has helped her to develop relationships and build trust with many of her patients so they leave feeling reassured they have come to the best place for their dental care. Ines feels the importance of working in partnership with her patients and enjoys seeing them maintain optimum oral health. Ines enjoys being active so in her spare time she likes hiking, boxing, gym, bikram yoga. In her down time likes to cool, read and watch a good movie. Ines is happiest at the beach and catching up with friends and family. In particular her three adorable nieces. I love and enjoy getting to know my patients not only on a professional level but also on a personal level. My clients aren’t only treating a mouth but person as a whole and I take great care in respecting and being there however I can to make a visit enjoyable and exceed expectation s to help motivate and maintain a healthy smile and overall health. I take great pleasure in working cooperatively as a team with our dentists because of their immense knowledge and experience so I can provide excellent care for our patients. 11.01.2022 Has it been a while since your last routine examination and cleaning? If we haven’t seen you for some time, contact us to schedule an appointment with Dr Lee O’Neill in the month of June to receive a discount off your visit! This appointment includes comprehensive examination, cleaning, fluoride and bitewing xrays (if needed). Please note discount varies between 10-30% dependant on length of time since last visit. Contact reception on 6285 1899 for more details!

09.01.2022 Are you cleaning correctly? You should be brushing for 2 minutes at least twice a day, plus flossing once a day. Technique is also very important, remember when brushing to angle the tooth brush at 45 degrees and use small circular motions for the best result. (Remember to replace your toothbrush when the bristles start to splay or every 3-6 months to reduce the amount of bacteria buildup). Flossing is best for in between teeth, ensuring to use a c-shape technique. For larger gaps we have other products available including brushes and dental tapes. Unsure how well you are cleaning?
