22.01.2022 To blithely assert a government surplus indicates a strong economy is plain dumb. Let’s not forget Prime Minister Menzies only ran one surplus in 17 years. And let’s not forget the biggest beneficiaries of that era are the same people who are now imposing a different view on the current generation. The worship of surpluses isn’t confined to one side of politics. All do it. Bill Shorten and Chris Bowen regularly tell us ‘my surplus will be bigger than yours’. ... They plan to go one step further and increase the superannuation guarantee amount to 12 per cent of employees’ wages which will slow increases in take home pay and provide a bonus for finance sector where it will be used to further speculate in existing shares rather than invest in the real economy. This pre-empts the broader question of whether the current approaches to restoring our economic fortunes, based around adjusting tax and government spending (fiscal policy) and interest rates (monetary policy), are working? There other alternatives?

21.01.2022 Out of the ashes (virtually) of the closure of the Beaconsfield Gold Mine, sitting right next door, is the next venture in the ongoing story of Beaconsfield. A micro brewery, restaurant called Miners Gold Brewery and plenty of entrepreneurial spirit from a family who have amazing confidence for the future. Brett and Kath Victory literally put their future in this new venture. Brett currently the owner of another Launceston business shared his journey with us. From his new bre...wer Stu Grant, his wife Kath and of course Brett the passion was deep and very catching. The old condemned house that today forms a part of the new building to the new brewery it certainly adds real new dynamics to the old gold mine sitting with its gates locked. Sharing his journey gives you a real insight into this exciting new venture. We wish them and Beaconsfield a truly exciting future. Just another entrepreneurial dream in this district building the spirit and the future. See more

19.01.2022 The rights of Australians and their business interests and politics in Australia today. Putting China FIRST. Why are we not Putting Australia first. Labor in West Australia are even discounting the royalty's to CITIC a business owned by the Chinese Government.

Also having won 3 awards for their wines ticks the quality box for their venture. Community spirit builds with every value add venture, delivering local product to market. 15.01.2022 Palmer wins: WA Court of Appeal CITIC against Mineralogy The WA Court of Appeal’s decision in respect of CITIC Limited’s appeal was another significant win for ...Clive Palmer and Mineralogy in regards to ongoing litigation from the Chinese Communist Government state-owned company. CITIC’s attempt to appeal an earlier decision in Mineralogy’s favour has failed. They continue to accumulate ongoing court losses under Australian law, Mr Palmer said from Karratha. The Chinese Communist Government state-owned company must follow the rule of Australian law in this country,’’ he said. Mr Palmer said Mineralogy had paid $44 million in tax this year while CITIC Limited had taken more than $4 billion dollars in Australian ore and paid zero tax to the Australian tax office. He noted that in 2016, the then President of the WA Court of Appeal, Carmel McLure, said CITIC was laughing all the way to the bank. Mr Palmer said he was disappointed by recent actions of the WA Premier where he threatened to change the law in favour of CITIC and the Chinese company promised to protect his government with indemnity from any costs. Why would the WA Premier give commercial advantage to a foreign company? The WA Government should be protecting the rule of law,’’ Mr Palmer said. Mineralogy has always been willing to assist with the progress and development of this project, however CITIC has had the view that it gets everything for free as it is owned by the Chinese government. Why does the WA Government give CITIC a 50% discount on royalties costing the WA people hospitals, schools and its AAA rating? Why is the WA Government interfering in a commercial transaction and not simply allowing the rule of law to apply equally. Mr Palmer said it was disappointing CITIC had spent five years in litigation and now the Supreme Court of WA and the WA Court of Appeal had found in favour of Mineralogy. During these five years, CITIC continually just took the ore. Those funds not paid at that time to Mineralogy would have been used to keep Queensland Nickel open and 3000 jobs in North Queensland would not have been lost,’’ Mr Palmer said. It is also very concerning that CITIC has still not paid one dollar towards the site remediation fund which has been independently assessed at $500 million. The site remediation fund is for the benefit of WA people not Mineralogy and has been set up by agreement to restore environmentally damaged land at the site. We need to welcome international trade with all countries but the rule of law needs to be followed. Our politicians need to act independently and not interfere with court processes,’’ Mr Palmer said. 15.01.2022 In the battle for ideas Labor lost. You can't interfere with people's long term wealth creation and superannuation programs. There was no modelling done on ending negative gearing and any downward pressure on the Building Industry is too big a risk. Whilst we did not win a seat, we made a difference and showed Australians that great ideas abound. Australia cannot keep doing business as usual and many smart commentators are predicting doom and gloom. Our Facebook wall is all a...bout Tasmania, yet many people from the mainland seem to wind up here making comments. Thank you for your engagement and conversation over the period and we look forward to posting more as the days, weeks and years go by. Thank you to the new members, who have doubled since we got going. Thank you to the hundreds of people who have called and who offered support over the period including the many who manned polling booths and erected signs. Our system isn't perfect, but it is better than most. See more

13.01.2022 When a country negotiates billion dollar gas deals..why are politicians who have nil skill even allowed near the table? Get Clive to do it..least he knows what a good deal for our Country looks like! https://www.facebook.com/135332979857362/posts/2472494129474557/

12.01.2022 NQ jobs declared the winner in Qld Nickel settlement CLIVE PALMER has declared jobs in North Queensland to be the winner after the Queensland Nickel legal matte...r was settled in the Federal Court. Mr Palmer took the unprecedented step of reimbursing the Commonwealth for every cent paid under the Fair Entitlements Guarantee (FEG) a step no other business has taken in the history of the scheme. While maintaining his position that the scheme should never have been triggered by the liquidators in the first place, Mr Palmer said the conclusion of the court matter meant that the future focus could be on creating jobs in North Queensland. I feel vindicated that the Special Purpose Liquidators have withdrawn all their claims against me, Mr Palmer said. Justice has prevailed and the witch hunt is finally over. All the false innuendo and wrongful allegations have been withdrawn, Mr Palmer said.I have fought for the people of North Queensland and am pleased to announce that 100% of all creditors and taxpayer funds contributed under the FEG scheme will be repaid. And while I continue to maintain that the FEG should never have been activated in the first place, or the company placed into liquidation, I decided to settle it because this issue was standing in the way of the main game getting the refinery open and recreating thousands of jobs in North Queensland. Today’s settlement confirms the actions against me were nothing more than a witch hunt designed to smear my good reputation, he said. Mr Palmer has also personally agreed to make all payments in full to other creditors.Settlement has not been reached with the General Purpose Liquidator, however. All parties paid their own costs in the court matter including the tens of millions of dollars in special purpose costs in bringing the case against Mr Palmer, who personally appeared in court and represented himself. He has called on the Queensland Government to now stand up and create sustainable jobs for the people of North Queensland. There needs to be significant investment in the North Queensland community to create sustainable jobs. I am not seeking an apology from the Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk. What I am seeing is positive action for the benefit of North Queenslanders. Governments have stood in the way of getting the refinery operational. I have invested large amounts of money into the North Queensland community and we need positive action from our elected representatives to get the economy moving and creating employment, he said.

06.01.2022 A Message from Clive Palmer The first post-election Newspoll published yesterday (29 July) in The Australian shows the Government have increased their lead over Labor by almost three percentage points, stretching their overall lead to six percent. Prime Minister Scott Morrison also enjoys a healthy 17% lead over new Labor leader Anthony Albanese, indicating that the Labor vote all but collapsed either side of the election. ... The poll vindicates our decision to preference the Coalition and stop Bill Shorten’s Labor from imposing disastrous policies on the Australian people. We made our preference deal based on what we believed was best for the stability of the country. We put the nation’s interest above our own, which I believe all politicians and political parties should do. Our party is named the United Australia Party for a reason. We want to unite Australians because we believe there is more that unites us than divides us. In the Newspoll the United Australia Party falls into the ‘Other’ category which registered 9%, 1% higher than the poll taken the day before the 18 May election. For the United Australia Party this is a strong showing for a post-election poll and demonstrates we have a role to play in the national political discourse. At the moment, we are working through our strategy and formulating policies for the future. We’ll keep you all up to date when there is news to share on that front. Finally, I’d like to thank you all for the role you played in the last campaign. I worked really hard, our staff worked really hard and together we all did our best to make Australia a better place, which is what we all should do as Australians. All the best, Clive Palmer Federal Leader United Australia Party

03.01.2022 Communist China exposed hundreds of thousands of spies in Australia The National Security Law of China required every Chinese citizen and company to spy for ...China and protect China’s national security if requested, Clive Palmer revealed today. Chinese citizens don’t have a choice. It’s their law,’’ Mr Palmer said. Hundreds of thousands of Chinese citizens are in Australia and spying for China, extending the Chinese Communist Government’s interests into every part of Australia’s commercial, political and educational life. There are more than 200,000 Chinese-national students currently in Australia bound by these laws. Australia must take control of our country,’’ Mr Palmer said Articles 11 to 14 of China’s National Security law state: National intelligence work institutions shall lawfully collect and process relevant intelligences on foreign bodies, organizations and individuals engaged in, or inciting or assisting others to engage in, or domestic bodies, organizations and individuals who collude with foreign bodies, organizations or individuals to engage in harm to the national security and interests of the People’s Republic of China, in order to provide intelligence as a reference and basis and reference for preventing, curbing and punishing the above acts. National intelligence work institutions shall lawfully collect and process relevant intelligences on foreign bodies, organizations and individuals engaged in, or inciting or assisting others to engage in, or domestic bodies, organizations and individuals who collude with foreign bodies, organizations or individuals to engage in harm to the national security and interests of the People’s Republic of China, in order to provide intelligence as a reference and basis and reference for preventing, curbing and punishing the above acts. National intelligence work institutions may, according to relevant state regulations, establish cooperative relationships with relevant individuals and organizations, and commission them to carry out related work. National intelligence work institutions, when carrying out intelligence work according to laws, may ask relevant institutions, organizations and citizens to provide necessary support, assistance and cooperation. This should be deeply concerning for all Australians who value our sovereignty and freedom,’’ Mr Palmer said. We need to save our country and our way of life,’’ he said. ENDS
