25.01.2022 It is with great disappointment that the 2019 UOTS has been canceled. We would like to thank all those who entered the 2019 Event, your money will be refunded ASAP. Unfortunately, small registration numbers meant it was not viable to continue. Thank you for those who have supported this event in the past.

25.01.2022 So who’s number 1 for UOTS 2018. Congratulations Gerry Ligtermoet, looking dashing in his new Mandurah 55+ Kayak Club ‘Grey Dolphins’ shirt. We look forward to seeing you and your mates on Sunday 20 May. Now who’s number 100?

24.01.2022 If you loved participating in the Unite on the Swan we would like to see you getting involved in some of the other events on the Canoeing WA calendar. http://www.paddlewa.asn.au/event-listings/

24.01.2022 Oysters, now theres a Swan River mystery. If you paddle into the lagoon at Heirisson Island (kakaroomup) you can see the layers of mud and old oyster shells. In the shallows just the other side of Matargarup Bridge you can see lots of oyster shells. In Maylands on the shores of the Baigup Wetlands you can see lots of oyster shells. If you pick up one of these shells you will be holding something very very old and there are so many of them in the Estuary areas of the Swan River.

23.01.2022 Swanson is friends with all animals even fun cats in South Perth. He went down to chat with them about the UOTS Aussie raft-up record attempt on 20 May. It is going to be nice and sunny on Sunday morning, great for rafting. Postal Registrations close tomorrow at midnight. (15 am 2018 midnight) Registrations will be accepted on the 17, 18, and 19th May but participants will be required to collect their number from the Event HQ Desk between 7.30 and 8.30am on Sunday. http://www.uniteontheswan.org.au

23.01.2022 The original Unite on the Swan 2017 photo by @saifullar on Instagram, which featured in The West Australian - thewest.com.au's INSIDE COVER section yesterday. Look at all that colour, so many purple UOTS caps ... and that marvelous wig (nice one Natalie Hiddlestone)! #uniteontheswan... ... #Repost @saifullar On an early Sunday morning stroll and came across a hoard of kayakers in and around the East Perth foreshore - but this was not just any ordinary gathering. It was discovered that this was in fact an attempt for a world record for the most kayaks in a single area. Alas the target was not met but all the same, enjoyed the fanfare. Such a random thing to see but who knows what you will stumble on if you arent out and about #kayaks #worldrecord #swanriver#perth #perthisok #perthlife #loveperthlife #seeperth #seewa #igperth #icwest #explorewest #westisbest #amazing_australia #anotherdayinwa #experienceperth #wa #westernaustralia #canon #6D

19.01.2022 Thank you to all those who supported Unite on the Swan 2018. It was an awesome sight with #OptusStadium and #Matagarupbridge as our backdrops. It will be difficult to choose a hero image! We had 152 craft and 174 paddlers plus a couple of dogs, a tiger and a dinosaur! We loved the camaraderie in the raft. At a moment of silence our large raft drifted on the Swan on a glorious autumn Sunday morning, a real celebration of our paddling community and our iconic Swan River. We wo...uld like to express our gratitude to our volunteers and sponsors. Our sponsors were Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, http://canoeandkayak.com.au, Royal Life Saving, Water Wanderers and River Guardians. The prizes donated were well received by the winners. Our volunteers (Jodie, Jason, Kellie, Jane L, Kathleen, Avery, Zhibo, Chris, Quinny, Waz, Jane P ) helped with a variety of tasks on the day such as counting, parking, safety and water marshalling. We couldnt run this event without their contributions and support. Lazying in the sun at Banks Reserve with some, food, drinks and music was a very welcome addition to 2018. Splitbeans Cafe SUPERblends.co Dinner Peace Hit & Run and Erin Hickey. Thanks Special acknowledgement and thank you to SkyWorks WA for perfectly capturing our 2016, 2017 and now our 2018 event. Checkout their FB page for some early photos. Thanks Peter Ashby for these photos Leo, Rosalie, Olivia, Amanda, Danny, Shaun, Paul and Tony #UOTS #paddle #swanriver

13.01.2022 We hope your Easter is truly bright!

13.01.2022 Swanson, who is a keen angler, was happy to check out the families fishing on the Swan River. Another family event on the Swan is UOTS. It's an Aussie raft-up Record attempt on the 20 May 2018. http://www.uniteontheswan.org.au/registration/

12.01.2022 We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our wonderful paddlers who participated in Unite on the Swan 2017, as well as our partners, sponsors, volunteers and all our supporters! We hope this morning Sunday 9/4/17 was a memorable experience for you all. This years event saw us move the location of our epic raft up to Claisebrook Cove, East Perth. Seeing all of you in so many colourful craft descending into the Cove from all directions of the Swan River, before ...rafting up and then dispersing all against the beautiful backdrop of this area of Perth was a fantastic sight to behold. Exact paddling craft raft-up numbers are still to be confirmed and we will let you know asap. We look forward to hearing all your feedback to make our unique fixture next year even bigger and better. A very special thankyou once again to SkyWorks WA for such a special video that perfectly captures our 2017 event and providing it to us so remarkably fast. You guys are the best! ::: Unite on the Swan 2017 is in support of Breast Cancer Care WA. Proudly brought to you by Canoeing WA and Water Wanderers kayaking. #uniteontheswan

12.01.2022 Swan River facts for our trivia buffs The Swan and Avon rivers are the same river The combined Swan-Avon River is 280 km long At the confluence of the Wooroloo Brook, it becomes the Swan River.... Mainly it is a shallow tidal estuary connected to a vast inland catchment It has a catchment area of 125,000 square kilometres The deepest point of the Swan River is about 21m near Mosman Bay 32 hectares of the river were reclaimed to provide room for the Narrows Bridge interchange on the north bank See more

12.01.2022 Swanson found no-one better too talk UOTS logistics with than Charlie from Main Roads and Rosalie for Paddle WA. Swanson promised Charlie paddlers would not go near the exclusion zone. Even though the only person to entered the No Go zone has been a paddler and a fast one. We can only assume it was a paddler not keeping up with the news and we sure wont be doing that on our Raft-Up day. We will have some helpful Paddle Marshals near the exclusion zone.

12.01.2022 We made the news! Who seen this ace photo by @saifullar from Unite on the Swan 2017 in The West Australian - thewest.com.au's INSIDE COVER section today :)? With this year's count of 263x craft, we do indeed have a very long way to go to breaking the world record for the largest raft of kayaks and canoes (3,150!) But this years event and our inaugural event last year has provided us with the basis to mount a serious challenge next time around. Brainstorming and planning will start again very soon! With all the support, participation and feedback of our wonderful 2016 and 2017 participants, supporters, volunteers, sponsors and event team, we have laid the foundation for something much bigger ...

11.01.2022 Our record attempt to achieve the largest raft of kayaks and canoes in Claisebrook Cove, East Perth on Sunday 9/4/17 morning. : SkyWorks WA Stay tuned for more photos! ... Highlights video: http://bit.ly/2odwkRV

04.01.2022 Our focus and efforts this year are the Swan River and its health. We will start with a few interesting facts - posts. Here is the first one. Just 20 Kilometres west of Rottnest is a canyon as big as the Grand Canyon and twice as deep. It is called The Perth Canyon and was carved by the Swan River, probably before the Tertiary, (ie10s of millions of years ago). You can see the Perth Canyon using a satellite image in google maps. It pretty impressive.

You will receive your CRAFT number and event program card in the mail after you have registered and paid online. Pin the CRAFT number to the front of the main paddler.
