The Fundraising was part of a project to purchase brand new gifts, to assist our Christmas Appeal Program. The students have done a fantastic effort to support our Emergency Relief Program. ... 13.01.2022 Uniting Werribee Op shop (next to the Uniting Church) is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm Saturdays from 9.30am to 1.30pm. Please come down and purchase a bargain. Our op shop supports our ER program at Uniting Wyndham.... Our volunteers have done a fantastic job setting up our Christmas display with lots of available items for sale for Christmas.

11.01.2022 #HW2020 What 's happening in your neighbourhood? According to our last census data, Wyndham saw an increase of 76% in community members experiencing homelessness. ... The west in general last census saw an overall increase of 40% in the number of people who were homeless on Census night. COVID 19 has caused so much uncertainty for so many people. If there is one thing that the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted, it is the importance of a home.

07.01.2022 From August 2-8 is Homelessness Week. #HW2020 This week gives us the opportunity to think about what having a home means to those of us who have them, and to consider what it might be like for those who dont have them. This week also provides an opportunity for those who are concerned about the numbers of people experiencing homelessness in Victoria to take action. Each day throughout Homelessness week will be posting different statics and information about homelessness in V...ictoria and our Local Wyndham area. We are also running a Childrens coloring competition, so please feel free to ring our reception and ask for an entry. Our competition closes 9th August.

06.01.2022 A BIG congratulations to our volunteer Christine Lainson Christine who received a 2019 Lalor Heroes Community Volunteer Award (from Joanne Ryans local MP office) for her outstanding effort in the last 12 months as a volunteer for our agency. Christines commitment has been outstanding as she continuously goes over and beyond to perform her duties.... It is volunteers like Christine that helps Uniting successfully run our programs to assist vulnerable people in our local community.

03.01.2022 A big shout out THANK YOU to the Dunnings Road Social Club who are made up by professional firefighters stationed at the Point Cook Fire Station. The Social Club donated toys as part of our Christmas Appeal to assist vulnerable children in the Wyndham Community. Members have made voluntary donations throughout the year when working additional shifts. These donations go into an fund which then assists local charities such as Uniting Wyndham at Christmas time. ... THANK YOU Point Cook Fire Station!!

03.01.2022 Can you Help??? We have a free book corner in our main reception area, where clients and their children can come and read, take or swap books for free. We are currently running really low on books.... If you have any childrens books at home that you no longer use and would like to donate, we would appreciate your donations. Our Reception would be happy to accept donations of books, you can drop off your donations Monday to Friday 9-.5pm our address is 19 Duncans Rd Werribee.

02.01.2022 Can you Help???? We are currently looking for donations for our op shop in Werribee (next to the Uniting Church in Synnot Street). We ask that all items please be in good condition and we accept items such as clothing and shoes, Manchester, home-wares, bric a brac, jewellery, handbags etc. ... In particular, we are looking for clothing for size 4 to 8 boys and girls. If you can assist, please drop off at the shop during opening hours from: Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm and Saturday 9.30am to 1.30pm. 01.01.2022 Uniting Wyndham is currently looking for a Volunteer Driver/Jockey with a valid drivers license required to assist in our Emergency Relief Food Program to collect and sort food from local donors. The person would need to be available in the mornings to start at approximately 8am. The days are negotiable and no weekend work is required....
