24.01.2022 COVID-19 CLINIC UPDATE Firstly, a massive THANK YOU to all our clients for your patience and support during this challenging time, we understand it has not always been easy being separated from your pets, however they have done an amazing job. Lots of treats and cuddles has definitely helped From Friday the 15th of May we will be easing back our restrictions whilst continuing to follow the recommended guidelines that ensure the safety of our staff and clients.... ONE PERSON PER PET will be permitted into the consultation. Please respect physical distancing (1.5m) with our staff and other clients while inside and outside. If you can, please wait in your car until your appointment time, to reduce the number of clients waiting outside the clinic at one time. Our door will stay locked to allow us to monitor people traffic within our clinic. Please continue to call us on arrival outside the clinic. This is the best way for us to ensure we don’t exceed the maximum number of TWO PEOPLE IN THE CLINIC at one time. We are still more than happy to retrieve your pet from your car and conduct the consultation by phone if this option is preferred. Where necessary, the Vet may ask a Nurse to help hold your pet to minimise contact time and ensure distancing requirements can be met. Please continue to call ahead and pre-pay over the phone for purchase of wormers, food and medication requests. This will help reduce waiting times at the clinic. We have hand sanitisers available for your use, we encourage you to use on entry and exit of the clinic. We will continue to clean and disinfect all high contact areas such as door handles, chairs, benches and the eftpos machine regularly. Thank you for your co-operation in this next phase as we get back to a new kind of normal in the NT

19.01.2022 CLIENT UPDATE: We are still here for you and your pets. We have had to make necessary and important changes to the way we operate our clinic to safeguard our clients, staff and the wider community.... We are now operating as a NO CONTACT clinic. Consultations: Please continue to make appointments by phone only. We cannot accept walk-ins at this time. You must bring your mobile phone with you to the clinic. On arrival, we ask that you contact us by phone and wait at the clinic door or vehicle for your pet to be collected by a nurse and taken into the clinic for assessment by the vet. Whilst waiting outside the clinic, the vet will consult with you by phone. We can only accept credit card payments over the phone. Medication and Food: Please order in advance and pre-pay over the phone, allowing 24 hours for us to process any medication requests. We can then deliver items to you outside the clinic or at your car. If you are elderly or vulnerable and need assistance, please contact us to arrange a special drop off service. Stock continues to reach us in a timely manner and we do not anticipate any shortages or delays at this stage. We do want people to avoid any stock piling, in particular medication. Please don't panic buy as this affects other customers. Procedures: We continue to take bookings for routine procedures (desexing, dentals etc) depending on availability, as well as emergency procedures and hospitalisation for animals requiring further work-up. When admitting animals, we again ask you to wait outside for the nurse to take your pet into the clinic. Please come at your allocated admit time to avoid everyone arriving at the same time. Where possible, we will email consent forms in advance for you to complete and leave with us on the day of surgery. At all times, we will adhere to social distancing recommendations of 1.5m and stringent personal hygiene, including the use of personal protective equipment during our interactions. We also have strict cleaning protocols in place. Please be kind to our staff, we are doing the best we can in a very challenging situation and are experiencing very high demand for our services at this time. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. We really appreciate your support as we all get through this unsettling time together.
18.01.2022 Jackson Ginger knows how important it is to choose the correct diet for your pet as they age. Providing optimal nutrition is an important aspect of Geriatric care that can help to improve life expectancy and quality Younger animals can adapt fairly easily to fluctuations or changes in nutrient intake. How ever as animals age they are less able to cope with nutrient excess, borderline deficiencies or change in nutrient quantity or quality. Accuracy and consistency with sen...ior nutrition is crucial Call us on 8931 0455 to take advantage of our Senior Month Promotions and book your Senior Health Assessment

09.01.2022 COVID 19 Pandemic In these uncertain times with the COVID 19 pandemic, we wanting to keep our clients and staff members as safe as possible. We ask that if you have been travelling or you or a family member is sick please reconsider routine trips to the clinic. ... -We are happy to offer phone consults please call the clinic on 8931 0455 and a consult time will be booked in accordingly. We will not be able to do any home visits from the clinic until further notice. -If you have pets on chronic medications or prescription foods, consider how much you have on hand and if you should have a few weeks spare.
