01.01.2022 As a personal trainer helping young guys, I have noticed, it’s not just the want of feeling strong and losing weight to make them feel successful More than anything, they just want to get the hell out of the hole they are stuck in and be somewhere in life they know they should. Most guys I work with aged between 20 and 35 struggle with:... Not rising to the challenge Time management Not feeling powerful Efficiency Fear of staying where they are ... and lots more. The biggest factor they all have is not spending enough time for themselves. Leaving them frustrated and pissed off with themselves for staying in a comfort zone. All young men want to have this in their life: Be successful Feel powerful and confident Do what they want when they want Feel physically strong Be unbreakable mentally Why is it so hard to have these things in their life? ... it’s quite simple, they don’t have the guidance. they will normally have one thing that they kick arse at because they had the right guidance to inspire them in that one area. That just needs to be brought across all areas. This is what I believe. We live in a society, where from a young age we get programmed in a real arse about way. So when we grow up we think we are on the right track but really the track has to be re-written. I know this all too well and did all the things that were expected in our society. Go to school to year 12 Get a full-time job with all the benefits Have big ambitions of becoming successful Have a beautiful wife and family Work your way up the ladder in your career By the nice house Have the nice big holidays When a man is pushed into a way of living, there are going to be values that will not align. This shows its ugly head in all shapes and forms. Unhealthy eating Looking for help from alcohol Putting on weight and losing mobility Depression and anxiety getting stronger The list goes on, in my eyes, it’s the path to self-destruction and everyone around you will feel it. ... 2 things will pull a man out of self-destruction: 1 A crisis will occur such as illness, cancer, marriage separation or massive rejection. 2 Self-awareness, listen to people around them and more importantly themselves than seek guidance. Avoid 1 If any of this is making sense to you, don’t let it go by without taking action. You must get guidance or you will stay the same. Go for 2 The training that you will get, will open new doors to optimise your body and mind if you give yourself permission to put in the work. Just a quick one! If you’re prepared to dedicate yourself to change, there will be no wasting anyone’s time. There is one way to tell if you know you’re ready to dedicate yourself to change and that is you will be asking why you have started to ask why to everything.
