21.01.2022 So on Friday, we had the Grand Opening of UPCCC. It ws so much fun, there were connections made, lots of joking and laughter, the fact that people who live major distances apart could still meet and have a conversation. We touched on a few different subjects, I think I contributed a fair bit of salubrious language and some vague references to the physiological stages of a woman's life, which may have been rather blunt in tone :) Of course, with this proprietor at the helm, t...here were always going to be some technical issues and some bloopers, but that just compounded the easy come, easy go nature of the whole process. I'd like to thank those loyal customers who attended for taking the time and the trouble to walk through the virtual doors. It was fabulous to connect with you all. I'd better give a grudging bouquet of gratitude to my newly promoted executive producer in brother Greg, who moderated in the background. Last time I looked he was executive assistant, but has apparently had a rapid rise in the ranks, and now occupies executive status!! The salary will remain the same, Gregory, I have a budget to adhere to :)! Conversations ranged from frankly ribald on my part to problems being faced by those who deal with the NDIS, and other topics of interest. It also gave us the opportunity to note that on some days UPYCCC might deal with specific topics of interest or debate, perhaps ASD, mental health, maybe the CWA cook book. Hell, we can schedule anything that customers want!! We have the power, accordingly UYCCC will be driven by you, the customers :) So we are tentatively looking at opening again on Wednesday April 29th at 1030am. There will also be a special slot on Thursday around 6pmish, as it is the misfortune of the proprietor to be celebrating/commiserating about a birthday on April 30th. We have acquired a special licence, so your choices surrounding beverages could be slightly more risque for that particular occasion. We also have a merchandise strategy in the pipeline for Life in 3D, which is the business overarching UYCCC. More news to come shortly. And yes, after years of bleating about it (maaah, maaah!), a book is currently being written. We should be able to give more info and examples in the next two weeks. UYCCC has been approached by local ABC radio to perhaps give an interview, so will update on that later, as well :) Well, I had best go. I am training a new group of baristas tomorrow, good help is soooooo hard to get - sigh!! All good:) Up ya clacker!! Sayonara babies!!

07.01.2022 Recently, Up Your Clacker has been somewhat in recess. Owing to the current times,we have been beset with several issues and difficulties..... The Government has announced a relaxation of CV19 rules and regulations, and cafes can now open. Of course, this is a crisis worse than CV19 to the existence and purpose our virtual Coffee Club. This could severely reduce our patronage and threaten Up Your Clacker's existence. That flighty tart of a waitress I recently employed has up ...and run off with the handsome barista I employed for MY visual delight, not HER bloody requirements! Security are providing all kinds of headache as they put in their demands for a wage review and rise. Really, all they have to do is stand there and look tough! It also appears the proprietor's mind has gone out into the stratosphere, as she deals with the double delight of the NDIS and Centrestink. However, these problems notwithstanding, which are being dealt with, Up Your Clacker Coffee Club will continue, and will be open on a date to be advised within the next few days.
