24.01.2022 The Swamp Stompers supported by The Ethan Stewart Trio appear next at UL on Sat 24th Oct at 4PM, outside on the grass. The Goodfellas show sold out and ticket sales for The Swamp Stompers are running at about the same rate, so don't wait too long to book if you're planning to come.

19.01.2022 Update on Upper Lansdowne concert wet weather arrangements: When the weather looked iffy for The Swamp Stompers we knew what the fallback plan was: 2 concerts inside - 1 at 4PM, 1 at 7PM, but we didn't know how we were going to get everybody allocated. So here's the plan going forward and it applies to Hussy Hicks.... The first 75 people who book get tickets to 4PM outside and 4PM inside (25 of these left currently). The next 75 get tickets to 4PM outside and 7PM inside. The people thereafter (150 and up) get tickets to 4PM outside and go on the waiting list for inside. Note approx. 20 people are allowed on the verandah over and above the inside limit, but you're not allowed inside the hall. You can hear fine there, but can't see much. If you're on the waiting list and desperate let us know and we'll consider selling you a cheap ticket for there.

16.01.2022 19 Twenty Concert Update: Hi Folks, we recently sent out a message to 19 Twenty ticket holders about the arrangements for the concert, including COVID related rules that apply, so here's a heads up in case you didn't get that. The rules include: ... - you need to sign in for contact tracing - observe social distancing - stay seated (unless you're going somewhere specific) - no mingling outside of your family group - anything freakin' else that kicks in between now and then - and worst of all no dancing *!#? you say! What the hell is wrong with those Old Farts on the Hall Committee? Well in fact these Old Farts are doing our best to keep on keeping on and have some fun, despite the mountain of bureaucracy that applies to doing just about anything at the moment. The hall could get in deep poo and cop a big fine if we don't follow the rules (you could too) and then get banned from doing anything going forward. So bring your chairs or picnic rug, keep your fingers crossed for a nice sunny day and have a great time.

12.01.2022 19 Twenty Wrap Up & Concert Organisation Going Forward Concert start times will be variable as we go into summer (assuming we're still in COVID-world), so watch out for that. Firstly a shout out to Wingham Akoostic - Pete and Donna for lending us their marquee and to Marty for gifting us an outdoor stage.... Secondly thanks to everyone for doing the right thing COVID-wise, although it was disappointing we didn't get to use our new tazers and anal probes. Thirdly thanks to the artists who put on a great show as usual. COVID-wise we have to go outside if there are more than 45 in the audience, although we become totally weather dependent outside and we got lucky with what was pretty much a perfect day. Inside we have to limit ticket sales, which we don't like to do because it affects the musicians earnings, but if the audience is small we'll probably go back inside, unless the weather forecast looks good. As we get into spring and summer a 2:30 outside start isn't going to work because it will be too hot, so the start time will get progressively later. We might also try outside shows in the evening in summer, COVID or not, as it could be magical outside under the stars on a summer night. If you've got any feedback leave us a comment.

Councillor Waterslide said: "Our COVID Marshals combine the best attributes of Robocop and a sniffer dog and they're always deployed in force at Hall events, eagerly seeking opportunities to demonstrate their crowd compliance jujitsu."

Each player carries their own special story and bag of musical tricks to the Goodfellas stage and a gig with the fellas is always, exciting, colourful, funny, and entertaining, thoughtful, fast, slow and in between. It’s hard to pin a style on the band as there are way too many influences they draw from, but they're always keen to explore so it’s a musical adventure with an uplifting, uptempo, folk/rock sound. 04.01.2022 Hussy Hicks concert forecast: Weather @10:30 in UL is perfect pretty much. Sunny, slight breeze. The BOM says 20% chance of up to 0.4mm of rain i.e. a few drops, which if it happens this afternoon would actually be welcome to freshen things up. We recommend you drink plenty of beer to stay cool, or stick your feet in your champagne ice bucket.
