25.01.2022 Congratulations, Shahrokh Abassi-Rad (PhD candidate of the Barth Group) for publishing a paper in the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) international journal - Magnetic Resonance in Medicine! Shahrokh and his team's latest paper is titled: 'Improving FLAIR SAR efficiency at 7T by adaptive tailoring of adiabatic pulse power through deep learning estimation' and investigates a method for specific absorption rate (SAR) reduction for 2D T2FLAIR M...RI sequences at 7 Tesla. Image: Slice-by-slice tailoring of the adiabatic inversion pulse power could save SAR up to 40% for FLAIR imaging at ultra-high field (7T) without impacting image quality. We used deep learning to predict the scale factors for pulse power adaptation without any additional measurement. This process is free of both SAR and scan time. Read the paper here: bit.ly/399DKip
