23.01.2022 UQ EUS and it's Subclubs are completing 3,318 push-ups in 25 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention. Please support us as we #pushforbetter We're participating as part of the UQ community, fundraising for the Push For Better Foundation. EUS and it's Sub-Clubs recognise that conversations about mental health are important. Over a lifetime, around 13% of Australians between the ages of 16-85 will seriously consider, plan, or attempt suicide. ...1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental health condition this year alone, and only 46% of those will seek help. Even though it can be tough, EUS hopes to encourage conversations about mental health within our community. This is in order to help reduce stigma, increase awareness, and in hopes that those at risk can reach out for support The charity we are raising money for is the "Push for Better" Foundation - it's focus is on the prevention and early intervention of depression, anxiety, and suicide. If you'd like to track our progress or donate, please follow the link below!
