25.01.2022 Its been just over one year since two Australian Federal Police raids on journalists in June 2019. Since then, Australia has dropped five places in the World Press Freedom Index. 07.01.2022 Check it out, law valedictorian Anna Kretowicz is spending her break as an intern with the Northern Land Council (NLC) before she's set to deliver her speech at graduation next month! Securing her placement via The Aurora Internship Program, Anna says she recommends all students apply in 2021 "I’ve only been working here for a few days, but I’ve been thrown right into it! I do a variety of jobs including proof-reading lease agreements, preparing research memos on prospective litigation and even advising on the prospects of success. So far the work has varied from bread-and-butter legal work to 'Are you sure you trust me on this?' tasks. Everyone here is treated with a great deal of respect, which I think is the most important thing in a workplace plus they are all very friendly!"
