24.01.2022 Staff from the UQ School of Music are thrilled to be attending the 2020 UQ Awards for Excellence ceremony in December after being nominated for the Community, diversity and inclusion award. The nomination was a result of the school's presentation and production of Deborah Cheetham's seminal work 'Eumeralla, a war requiem for peace'. Through a collaborative effort between the School of Music and ATSIS Unit, Eumeralla was performed at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC...) as part of the Vice-Chancellor's Concert Series in 2019. The collaborative process epitomises UQ's ongoing efforts to promote reconciliation, mutual respect, and diversity through innovative, engaging, and creative means.
