25.01.2022 Help us clean up The University of Queensland and its surrounding bushland & waterways! UQVS is collaborating with the UQ Sustainability Office, UQ GEMS, Marine at UQ, Society for Conservation Biology UQ Brisbane Chapter, and UQ School of Psychology to bring you Clean Up Australia 2019 @ UQ It's happening 3pm February 28 (next Thursday) and will be followed by Free Pizza and a discussion.... To bring on the day: water bottle gloves Wear closed shoes and sun protection (sunscreen, hat etc.) We'll have cold water and gloves for anyone who can't bring their own. 21.01.2022 Waste Education Volunteers Needed! We are looking for volunteers to assist with the delivery of waste education at the Physiol Refectory. Volunteers are needed... during June and July 2019. We need you to complete 2 hour shifts, at dates and times that suit you. Training will be provided and volunteers will be given a lunch voucher for each shift completed. Your job will be to help educate students and staff on minimising waste, recycling, and showing them the correct bins to sort their waste into. 17.01.2022 Last Saturday UQVS sent a group of volunteers and participants to help BYS raise money and beat the World Record for most number of people doing burpees! The record wasn't broken but.. OVER $6000 WAS RAISED!! The UQVS team are super proud of those who gave up their time to help out and left super impressed with the effort all the participants put in on the day!
