20.01.2022 It started out with a kiss ... for Europe. On May 20th 2019, our friend Susa Pop from Public Art Lab asked us to help display 'A Kiss for Europe' across international locations, synchronised before the European elections, as a powerful sign of unity and peace. Fed up with the futility of the first World War, Belgium-based artist, Frans Masereel, created 'A Kiss for Europe' (1924) as a symbol of bridging the divide between Europe's allies and enemies.

17.01.2022 The exceptional hand-drawn artworks of Camille Serisier have sketched their way onto our Artist Showcase Series! Combining motion with still images, Camille's surreal drawings will transport you to a world of skilled and vibrant brush strokes. Coming to our urban screen network Dec 1!... From the artist: 'The Life Fantastic' consists of short cinemagraphic loops depicting moments from the artist's life. Animated drawings and paintings describe sensations and fantastical explorations of special everyday family experiences that may otherwise be lost to the mundane. 'Submerged' is composed using a collection of animated watercolour paintings, 'Submerged' contemplates a nostalgic return to special places, feelings and memories, which arise within the confines of an old English bathtub. 'Unicorn Dreams' uses experimental image manipulation techniques to represent the bizarre and often surreal experience of pandemic lockdown. By distorting still images and photographs of herself and her family, Serisier creates short and absurd animated loops. Bright colours, falling confetti and magical elaborations describe an interior world of imaginative play and diversion.

09.01.2022 Everyone has a story worth telling. A riveting encounter, a social mishap, a lesson learnt and most likely, a triumph. Even filmmaker, Lulu Wang, creator of the now internationally acclaimed dramedy, The Farewell, initially believed that her story of family hardship wouldn't resonate with a non-Chinese audience. A Golden Globe win and several other awards later, 'The Farewell' is now one of the most celebrated films of the past year.... Once you uncover the parts about yourself that makes you tick, you'll understand what story you're trying to tell. spoilers ahead

05.01.2022 Beautifully animated and surreal, 'Bloom' by Sian Fan is "a sublime meditation on spiritual growth, exploring transformation, destruction and enlightenment in the digital age: Bloom examines the relevance of spirituality in a technological context, where our physical and virtual identities are intertwined." Coming to our global screen network Dec 1!

02.01.2022 Gripping and beautifully unnerving, Sian Fan's 'Spirit Corp.' shows us what could happen if the human and virtual world were to irreversibly merge. Sian describes 'Spirit Corp.' as "a dark exploration into humanity’s fixation with the digital: in a possible future a human finds herself re-rendered into cyberspace, recoded into a virtual being. As her digital shell and her human consciousness prove incompatible she finds herself trapped between two diametric states." Coming to our global screen network Dec 1!
