21.01.2022 Today, MDMP5111: stage one of the Sydney Medical Program became the first cohort in the world to learn the physiology of Cystic Fibrosis via Virtual Reality. We deployed 12 Oculus Go devices with our latest molecular experience which demonstrates CFTR in its open and closed states. (But the molecules are the size of skyscrapers). Mutations in the CFTR protein cause cystic fibrosis, a debilitating condition which has high morbidity and often requires a lung transplant. ... CFTR stands for Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane conductance Regulator. (TIL)
