Sadly, no prayer facilities (individually or in Jama'a) will be available after midday, 12:00 noon, today. We understand that it is a heartbreaking announcement but hope that Allah SWT gives us same rewards of praying at masjid at our hom...es (or anywhere outside masjid) Abu Burda said, "I heard Abu Musa several times saying that Allah's Apostle said, 'When a slave falls ill or travels, then he will get reward similar to that he gets for good deeds practiced at home when in good health." 13.01.2022 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Friday Prayer UPDATE According to COVID-19 latest update 50 worshippers are allowed at Masjid with social distancing. Based on 4m2 rule, our masjid can only accommodate 20 jemmah at one time. Therefore there will ONLY be 2 sessions this Friday.... Those who had attended previously in Group 1 n 2 will now be reschedule to 1st session and Group 3 n 4 in 2nd session. Please take note of the new timings for the khutbah . Those who are unable to make it this week please inform us immediately so we can offer to others. 12.01.2022 Iftar at Omar Mosque Alhamdulilah by the Will of Allah SWT and with your support Masjid Omar has been organising Iftar during the month of Ramadan everyday ...for the past 10 years. This allows the community to sit together and enjoy the blessings of Ramadan specially those who are away from their families. This year is no different and inshAllah Iftar will be organised every day by the Will of Allah SWT and with your support for brothers. There will be announcements here and on Facebook for days iftar is offered for families. Iftar roster has been placed on the door and already 16 days have been taken. If you would like to join in earning rewards please put your name on the roster. There are about 150-180 brothers every day joining for Iftar. Volunteers will be available inshAllah to assist in cooking and serving. Prophet Muhammad SAW said "Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest." The congregation sha...red an Islamic ritual prayer Al-lstisqaa -which translates to seeking rain. Imam, Jamil El-Biza said the congregation also wanted to offer special thanks for the volunteers fighting fires, "Islamically in the versus of the holy Quran it says, whoever saves a soul, any soul, it is as if they have saved all of humanity because anyone who can risk their life to save one soul will do it repeatedly to save humanity, and that is proof of a generous soul, a courageous soul and we believe that the fire fighters are doing that every single day." 03.01.2022 Uthman Mosque Fundraiser Alhamdulliah the event was a great success. The committee of Uthman Mosque would like to thank everyone who attended the event and prayed for it to be successful. We raised close to $210,000 and we should be able to commence the project soon.... A special thanks to all volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to make this a succes. These barbaric and inhumane acts cannot be justified by any cause or any ideology, let alone false propaganda of Islamophobia. Our hearts and minds are with the families and loved ones of the victims. May Allah SWT give them a place in Heaven, Ameen.
