25.01.2022 Dear UTS AFC Community, It is with great sadness that UTS AFC announce the sudden passing of Daniel Carmody earlier this week. Daniel played 45 games for UTS AFC between 2014 to 2018. Daniel was one of the first selected players each week and earned his spot in the team being a fierce ball winner with apt touch. Whilst there are limited photos on the field, the Club puts this down to Daniel being at the bottom of the pack winning the football and putting the team first. Thro...ughout his 45 games at the club, he was viewed as a true clubman that had the upmost respect of his teammates. He was an instrumental member of the 2016 Division 1 squad that won the premiership that year. Daniel's time at UTS AFC complemented his 110 games at Uni Blues Football Club in Victoria. Daniel is survived by his wife, Ciara, daughter Abbey and a lot of great friends, memories and football moments. The condolences to John, Diane, Ciara, Abbey, Jane, Catherine and their families. 21.01.2022 Incase you missed it on instagram, we have been celebrating the 12 days of Christmas in a different way this year with The 12 Days of BATSmas!! Join us in welcoming the following players to The UTS AFC this season; - Andrew Pretto... - Melissa Lindsay - Harrison Dyson. Andrew: Coming to us from Vermont Football Club and Corowra Football Club in Victoria, AP is a talented big bodied midfielder who has quickly made his mark as one of our strongest players on the oval! Mel: Mel has come to us from West Brunswick Football Club where she played in 2018/19 splitting her time with Richmond when making the Richmond VFLW list in 2019. She's a hugely talented footballer with the skill and determination to make her a strong asset anywhere on the field. Harrison: Harrison is joining us from Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs & UNSW. He is a strong bodied player who can play anywhere on the ground. His strong hands and unmatched aerobic capacity makes him a hard player to match up on. Join us in welcoming them all onboard and keep an eye out over the coming days to see our other exciting recruits! 2021 is going to be huge!

Unfortunately Waverley Oval is closed due to weather and we had to cancel Mens Div 2 and move Womens Div 2. Men's Division Two - Cancelled (Ground closed) Women's Division Two - GROUND CHANGE Wheldon Oval, Curl Curl - 1:30pm (12:30pm report time)... Men's Division One - Trumper Park - 8:45 (7:30am report time) Women's Premier Division - Trumper Park - 10:35 (9:30am report time) Premier Division Reserves - Trumper Park - 12:15 (11:00am report time) Premier Division - Trumper Park - 14:15 (1:00pm report time) Under 19s Division Two - Gipps Rd Oval - 8:30 (7:30am report time) Please note the following: Only 10 players in a change room in any one time. All huddles to occur outside Spectators are discouraged from attending, in the event they do come - please ensure social distancing is maintained. Players and officials are required to contact the Clubs COVID Safety Officer (Michael Houston 0421 885 358) and should not attend training/matches if they have visited Victoria or attended any of the reported case locations in the past 14 days. Venue Conditions of Entry signage will be displayed (provided by AFL NSW/ACT) and ensure this is visual at entry points of the ground, changeroom and bar/canteen. In addition the Club will be doing the following actions: Participants please note that only 1 parent/carer/otherwise is to attend the match per player. We will be using a PA system or otherwise to communicate the provided messages to those present at regular intervals (pre match and half time). We are postponing any significant events that may have been scheduled to occur at this weekend’s matches i.e. past players days that increase the gathering size. 08.01.2022 Dear UTS AFC, Following the recent COVID-19 numbers and in keeping with the advice of the NSW Government to limit unnecessary activity, it is with regret that we will be postponing tomorrow’s best and fairest event until the new year. While we had looked forward to celebrating with you the achievements of the year, the health and well-being of our club and community are foremost.... We want to acknowledge too, as we head into Christmas, that many in the club might be going through a difficult time right now with the recent border changes.
