22.01.2022 Hello everyone, late last week the vice chancellor sent out an email about support packages available to help students. This is available to all students domestic and international. We would like to give emphasis on international students who are away from their loved ones and not able to access commonwealth support. If you are finding it difficult and needing support, please don’t hesitate in applying for the Financial Hardship Grants by completing the application form attac...hed below. - You can apply for assistance with IT equipment and internet dongles - If you are in immediate need of welfare packages that include pantry and personal hygiene staples, email the student welfare office at [email protected] with their request - You can access assistance for housing through the student welfare service, including at university colleges. Emergency accommodation can be arranged for students who are in need - If you are an international student and have fees due at present but you are unable to pay please contact the university at [email protected]. In this blessed month of Ramadan, the UWA Pakistani Society wants to give back in the community and support those who are struggling given the current circumstances of COVID-19. We plan to use community funds to sponsor students who are facing tough situations. We aim to provide Iftaar meals each day for the second or third Ashrah to around 10 students. The Iftaar meals are prepared and given by local restaurants who serve as our sponsors....
