16.01.2022 2018 Vains family post Christmas lunch swim title went to my brother Clark this year! Next year less Turkey and less Champagne will be a part of my prep for title come back! Merry Christmas to everyone.

13.01.2022 Thinking of my Dad on Father’s Day.. not a day goes by that he is not with me, there was not a race he wasn’t there usually picking up the pieces!! I thought I would post this photo of the finish of the 85 Coolangatta Gold for 2 lessons it might give the kids I coach, the first one you can’t compete in this sport without your family’s support. They are always there driving you around, lugging your craft up and down sand dunes and giving encouragement. The second lesson, the guy in the middle is Steve McBean - he finished second in the 85 Gold to Guy Leech in some pretty good company. He set a goal and trained his back side off. You can still mix it with the best living in Vic. My dad was my idol.
