25.01.2022 Unfortunately the little girl in Freyja's litter did not gain weight even with hand feeding. She had become weak and unhappy so we had her placed in eternal sleep. RIP

25.01.2022 Number 4 is a little tired, hopefully he gains strength. Update: He's going well, he's got his breath back and finding the boob

18.01.2022 I had a honours student from the University of Sydney contact me in regards to a survey they are doing on effects of Catnip, if you are interested in participating please take a look. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9K88T79 Dear Vakker Maine coons, My name is Danielle and I am a fourth-year honours student at the University of Sydney. As part of my studies, my supervisors and I are conducting a project that investigates a range of factors influencing the sensitivity of cats to... catnip. To help gather information, I have created an online survey for cat owners to fill out. The survey can be completed anonymously and does not require any personal information about the pet owners. As we are aiming to collect as many responses as possible, I would be extremely grateful if you could help distribute this survey to your followers, clients and friends! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9K88T79 . 09.01.2022 Over night and today Freyja had a litter of 5, unfortunately 2 did not make it. She's been settled for a few hours and looks like she's finished; so we have 3 bubs. One is very small so I'll be doing supplementary feeding over the next week or two to try and give it a good chance. The other two are gaining well. A blue silver, a solid blue and a black silver, unsure of genders at this stage but all will be spoken for. New born kittens can be fragile therefore I like to let ...the kittens settle in before contacting those on the waiting list. I will contact those that are in line for one in a week or so. Now to go and get some sleep!

09.01.2022 All is going well with Sassy and her bubs. They're all gaining weight and no problems with feeding. I'l get onto responding to messages and emails as soon as possible, I'm just trying to get on top of everything that gets put aside whilst waiting for babies to arrive!

05.01.2022 Sassy's kittens came downstairs to our living area this week. Mum is a little worried with one of the adult cats, so babies and mum are in a big temporary enclosure in our kitchen for now, but I'm sure she will settle down soon.
