22.01.2022 On a day of absolutely perfect flying conditions, the circuits were consistently full at the VRF Shepparton Mammoth Scale event today. Pilots from several state...s took full advantage of the weather and clocked up plenty of hours airborne. Tremendous day of aeromodelling, camaraderie and sharing of stories. More photos to come!! 02.01.2022 The Shepparton Mammoth Fly In is on again this year over the weekend of September 14th and 15th. All are welcome to attend this event. If you are looking at sta...ying in town for the weekend, you are strongly advised to book ahead as rooms in Shepparton fill up quickly. Camping is available at the field. Pre-paid entries are $45 for the weekend and this fee is refundable if you cannot make the event. Entrants are advised that this is a Mammoth Scale Event and model aircraft entered must comply with the following requirements: Planes are to be scale models, not sports models. Monoplanes: Must have a minimum wingspan of 80 inches. Biplanes: Must have a minimum wingspan of 66 inches. Jets: (turbine/ducted fan) no minimum wingspan requirements.
