22.01.2022 South Para Reservoir. Not great light, but I finally kayaked around to the bridge in South Para Reservoir. Its a pristine environment that has seen little human interaction for a few years, so I wasn't surprised to see kangaroo's and birds, but even the emu's seemed calm. Deer are still skittish but there's no surprises there.... I was testing out a new set of transport wheels so I walked back to the car instead of paddling the return journey. The new setup was much easier to walk with. I'm now looking forward to catching some better light and have plans to head back again soon.

16.01.2022 Firefighter! Last week I managed to capture the testing of Australia’s newest firefighting capability at Warren Reservoir. Aerotech were testing the install of the Aussie built Helitak fire fighting system onto their Blackhawk helicopter. Its an interesting experience for a kayaker, sharing the water with a helicopter was unexpected but exciting. I paddled across the reservoir to get the light in the right place and kept out of the down wash to catch some unique images of ...this Adelaide based capability. Let just hope we don’t need it...

12.01.2022 2021 Barossa Vintage Parade, I spent the morning with friends watching the Vintage Parade pass through Tanunda. It's great to see these community events back after last year's pause. After spending most of last year in the USA, it's clear that us Aussies have really nailed Covid's impacts. We should all be proud to have events like this back on.... #Mybarossa #Tanunda

02.01.2022 Reflections of Warren. I recently spent some time exploring Warren Reservoir in the kayak. Despite being a little chilly, winter is a perfect time to explore the water here. The water level inwinter is high which allows greater access into the creeks that feed into the North Eastern area of the reservoir. ... The easiest way to see these pristine area's of the Barossa is to contact @Barossakayakhire and make a time to paddle around. @Mybarossa.
