23.01.2022 Got an old trailer you'd like modified for camping. Here is one we completed for a customer. We mounted the roof top tent and awning, moved the spare tyre so we could fit a tool box, replaced the gas struts for the doors, modified jerry can holder to allow for taps etc.... Our customer was very happy with the end result. Contact us on 0497006591 or via messenger to discuss what we can do for you or feel free to call in with your trailer for a quote.

23.01.2022 We've put together a little video with a checklist and some tips when buying a secondhand caravan.

21.01.2022 Hi All, Licola Caravan Park and General Store have resumed normal trading hours for the next two weeks. Unfortunately, we are unable to resume normal activi...ties in the Caravan Park at this stage, so will not be taking any further booking for Queens Birthday weekend. We will have further information after the 22nd of June. As most of you know we generally close after the long weekend for 3 weeks but this year we will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday over that period. For those of you who are wondering about track closures over the long weekend, Kelly's Lane, King Billy Track and Mayford are closed. Wonnongatta to Myrtleford and Bright has reopened for the weekend. We look forward to seeing you all next week! See more

07.01.2022 VALLEY R.V’s WINTER CARAVAN & CAMPING TIPS Do you avoid taking the van out or camping in the winter because it is just too cold?? We have put together some tips and tricks to keep you and the fam warm this winter out in the bush. HEATING OPTIONS- Caravans and campers have multiple heating options, before heading out you could look at some of these for you van. These include gas and diesel heaters; prices will range between $250 & $2500 and do not forget a gas and co2 detector...s. If using a duel battery system, you can also go down the route of electric blankets, you can use the regular 240v blankets, but you will need an inverter. Alternatively, you can purchase special 12v to run straight from the battery. Hot water bottles are also great to warm your bed at night and all you need is access to hot water. SAY NO TO THE AIR MATTRESS- While they look comfy and cosy to sleep on, in the cold the air mattress will suck the heat out from under you and into the ground. We advise opting for a foam mattress or a self-inflating mattress, these will keep your body heat in with you which is what you want on a cold night. Otherwise you can keep insulated by putting a doona or thick blanket underneath yourself. BEDDING- A sleeping bag is not just a sleeping bag, did you know that they have a rating to guide you on their warmth? Sleeping bags range from 0 to -12 to ensure you will have adequate warmth. Pack extra blankets, we always pack a few extra throw blankets which can go over the top just to keep the heat in. BEDTIME PREPARATION- Go to bed before you are too cold, warm yourself up by taking a brisk five-minute walk to get the blood pumping. Prep your hot water bottle and get it in the bed before you, this way you are getting into a nice warm bed. Hand and feet warmers, these are available for a couple of dollars at the supermarket, chemist and camping and caravan places. Pop them on the bottom of your socks for warm and toasty feet! WARM DRINKS- Never underestimate the power of a warm cuppa, have a warm drink about an hour before bed, to warm your insides. This will help relax you and warm you up, you can even pop a nip of whiskey or bailey’s in for extra warmth! Make sure you head to the toilet before bed. Harder to keep warm with a full bladder and there is nothing worse that having to get up in the middle of the night. CLOTHING- This probably goes without saying but warm clothing is especially important. Hoodies and big jackets are great but team them up with tight fitting layers underneath will keep your body heat in and keep you warmer. Heat escapes faster from your head and feet so make sure you have a beanie and thick socks. Always wear multiple layers even to bed, you can always take items off should you get too hot. If you have any winter tips, drop them in the comments!!
