15.01.2022 Fabulous for your general health, terrible for your teeth! Citrus fruits have a high acid content which can weaken and demineralise tooth enamel, leading to discolouration, sensitivity, and even decay. - Avoid putting lemon, lime, or other fruit slices in your water Consume fruit juice through a (reusable) straw Rinse with water after eating or drinking citrus, and wait at least 30 minutes before brushing

12.01.2022 COVID 19 update on temporary changes to Vasse Dental during the pandemic... Under the guidelines from the Australian Dental Association dentists are currently on level 2 and only allowed to treat urgent and emergency patients. Non urgent work such as exam, scale and cleans and ongoing routine treatment must be put on hold for the time being. Due to this we will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays for emergency treatment only to patients who are well, havent been overseas in t...he last 2 weeks and havent been in contact with anyone with the COVID 19 virus. With continuing updates this may change as we will adhere to all advice given by the ADA. In addition to our usual high standards of infection control we are doing additional cleaning of all items that patients may come into contact with and using guidelines and protocols from the Australian Department of Health to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We do have adequate PPE (masks and gloves) to continue giving you the high standard of care you would expect from Vasse Dental. We are spacing out appointments to reduce the amount of crossover in the reception area and ask that patients reduce the numbers of additional people brought into the surgery, trying to limit to the the patient only or a support person also if required for children etc. We thank you for your understanding and support during these difficult times and wish you all the best for you and your families in the coming uncertain times. 05.01.2022 Have you been to the dentist lately for a check-up? If not, here are six reasons why you should! 1. Regular cleaning can prevent tartar from eroding teeth. ...2.Avoid gum disease which is caused by tartar build up. 3. Oral cancer detection. Often undiagnosed, dentists can recognise signs and symptoms. 4.Keep bad habits in check such as grinding teeth that can cause further damage. 5. 01.01.2022 Sadly due to the COVID-19 restrictions on dentists we are writing to advise you of our temporary Practice closure which will be effective from Wednesday 1st April for a minimum of 2 weeks and until the ADA lifts it restrictions. The decision to close at this time was not made lightly. It is based on the recommendation from the Australian Dental Association to cease all treatment that is not an emergency as most dental procedures produce aerosols. These aerosols can increase ...the high risk of infection spreading to our team and fellow patients. We feel it is our duty to act in the best interest of community health. During our closure please be assured both our email and phone lines will remain monitored. It is important to us, that you know we are here to support you all through this time. If you experience any pain or discomfort please contact us and we will provide you with advice to help you get through. We are offering this service to do our part to contribute to reducing the load on our health care system as much as we can. We would like to thank all of our valued patients for your continued support and look forward to providing you with the best possible dental care when we return post COVID-19. . . . #slowthespread #slowthespreadofcovid19 #stayhome #stayhomesavelives #stayhomestaysafe See more
